Got an upgrade but...

Yes, I know where Valley West Mall is. My ex-husband used to work right across from it at a place called System Support. That's also the mall I would go to when I got tired of the tiny mall in Ames!

This is my first Disney cruise actually. The only other cruise I have done was on Carnival, so no, I am not familiar with DIS meets. You'll have to fill me in.

I have not seen a 10/2 sign up thread yet, but what the heck, I'll start one. It'll be interesting to see how many more people we get.

My upgrade to cat 9 put me on Deck 2. My parents still have a Cat 11 on Deck 7 (unless they upgrade them later). I am wondering if the fact that we had 3 people in the room, or that we have a 3 year old in the room had something to do with the upgrade. Or maybe it was just a lucky throw of the dartboard!

you are so lucky to have found the dis boards before your first cruise. I lurk way more then I post and learn sooo much great stuff.

Our first cruise I took my ribbon and saw nobody at the parks or on the ship with green.

On our March cruise we had a large group of DIS'ers. We had a large thread and even the kids talked before the cruise. We had a list with everyones name and DIS board name so we could match faces with names. It was great. Everyone meet on deck 10 right before the sailaway party. Our second oldest daugher had chatted on line with a girl that was going to be on our cruise. At the party they talked and we hardly ever saw her after that. Those 2 girls did everything together. After the cruise they continued to email each other and our daughter even went and spent four days with the other girl and her family. Lucky for us they live in Iowa so she wasn't far far away. They still email and call each other. We will all meet up again on our March 2004 srping break cruise. The girls are counting down the days.

Thanks for starting the 10/2 thread. It will be interesting to see how many more people sign up. Just think of all those people on the cruise that might not know anything about the DIS boards.
When our cruise date gets closer we can set up a meet place so we can all say HEY
