I got an email with a link to a DVC survey regarding our Kidani stay all the way back in April. (Kinda odd since we also went to Bay Lake Tower in May???)
Anyway, turns out the survey really had nothing to do with Kidani, but lots of odd questions about my opinions on what I might like to see in future studios.
Maybe that Grand Floridian DVC rumor might be true? Most of the options they gave seemed more high end. Plus, none of these options really would work in the current room size of the DVC studios, it has to be for a new resort. Here’s a few of the options that kept popping up. I had twenty screens I had to choose most likely to want or least likely to want out of about five options. Some of the options kept popping back up.
These were options for a STUDIO -
yearly storage of personal items for a fee (Owners’s Locker pay attention!)
smart box for laptops, iphones, etc.
extra sleeper for fifth person in studio – either sleeper chair or trundle
dishwasher
pick of shower/tub layouts – like separate walk-in shower and additional tub
fitness equipment in room – stair master, elliptical machine…
ceramic plates, bowls, etc. – no more paper goods
daily housekeeping, but with increase in dues
luxury items such as better bedding and soaps, plush towels, scale, towel warmer, etc.
eco-friendly cleaning, air purifiers, etc.
DVR option on TV
more cable channels
larger flat screen TV
Disney movies on demand for a fee
I’m sure I’m forgetting some, I should have written everything down.
Most interesting option that kept popping up was availability to have pet friendly rooms!
I never choose that option, so at the end it asked me if I had a pet. I choose yes, but won’t travel with pet.
As hard as it is to get someone to watch our dog and/or board I wouldn’t want to constantly go back to our room to check on my dog and I’d think those rooms would get nasty and be loud!
Maybe at Hilton Head or Vero Beach, but then again are they gonna allow you to be walking all around the resort with your dog? I know you can take dogs on the beach at Hilton Head, but at Vero Beach?
This is the only option I didn’t think fit in with the other options, especially if it was for the Grand Floridian.
EDIT TO ADD - Concierge service was also an option I forgot to mention.
