Got a Pin Today!!!

I was so excited, since I have been waiting for one, 30%, 35%, 40%, and we are staying at a deluxe so 40% off. I hurry and called my travel ageny up, but, like usually she left for the day. I talk to the leader at the store, First thing she said we have to see if it applies. Why are they acting like I am bothering them. when I am so excited to save some money.

Congrats on the pin!!! That is exactly the reason why i booked direct with Disney this trip. My TA for our last trip treated me the same way like I was bothering her with my requests.

I agree. I've always planned my own trips, but one year there were just no discounts out there (April 2007, I think?) so I decided to go through AAA to get the 15% discount (actually I think you can apply this yourself, but I went through the AAA travel agent). Anyway, it was such a hassle, and they were not friendly/accomodating at all. Will always do my own trips now!

By the way, congrats on the pin! I'm hoping to get that one myself!

Much to my surprise, I got the same one you got under my email addy that I'm already booked under!! I'm staying deluxe as well and got a pin for the free QSDP, so I thought I was out of luck until at least that one expired!

I called Disney right away and their computers were down But plan on calling back in a little bit!

Yay! That's great! I was wondering if I had no hope since I already booked our trip so it's reassuring to know that you can still get them even if a trip is already booked.

I got the 30/35/40 pin today by email. The email started off by saying "excited that you are thinking about visiting WDW in June". I had forgotten, but I had actually booked a trip to WL for a week in June in December 2009. We had paid the deposit and everything. In the meantime, my sister invited us to spend Thanksgiving with them at WDW using DVC points. So we cancelled the trip. Maybe booking a trip and cancelling increases the chance of a pin?????

ME TOO!!!!

I have been trying to get a pin for OVER a year and FINALLY I got one today!!! It was 20/30/40 Good for most of the year! It had a rabbit on it with a clock saying...Hurry, don't be late.....

I called and guess what....the system is down right now.....She said to call back in 2 hours It will be the longest 2 hours of my life

update: like I said before my travel ageny wasn't there again, so the leader (Manager) told me she would look into it, and call me back if she has time, its been 3 1/2 hours, no call,. I guess she doesn't have time.

I went through this 2 years ago with my TA. She just didnt see the urgency or realize that available rooms do book. I lost out on the Poly because she waited 3 days (or I think..could have been unavailable from the get go???)! I swore I would go directly through Disney next time.

Well.....it is next time and of course I have no code! Should have gone through TA for at least 15% off!

I have done just about everything to get a pin and still no luck I'm think I'm going to start sending them naked pictures of myself and tell them if they want them to stop to send me a pin......that will make them give me a pin in a real hurry

went to the mail, saw the Disney Destinations mailer and got so excited! THEN, I saw that it was to my friend!!! She had gone on a trip and stayed in my room - and Disney kindly sent her a free dining pin to MY HOUSE!!!

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I was so sad b/c I've been waiting for that good 40% off one!

I would call and check because I think if it came to your address you can use it. That is what a CM told me about one we received in my BIL's name. It is certainly worth you trying. Give them a call. Good luck!

You can use it, we have had this before.
If at first you don't succeed... Keep trying till
someone let's you use it( should not have ANY trouble
at all though)! ;0) congrats!

I got the dining one today too. It was addressed to my mother who went with us several years ago but had my address on it. We can't use it as we are going in Nov. and it expires on 8/14. But, my daughter got the 40% off one and we can use it!!! Boardwalk villas here we come. We were able to use it for a studio and a 1 bedroom.

I got the 30/35/40 pin today! I had previously received the 20/30/40, so I'm happy with this one as we will probably be staying at a value resort

the manager of the travel ageny called me back alittle while go, and said they wdw site is down. That she even called they said everything is down, she will do it tommorrow or pass it along to my travel ageny that is handling my reservations.

Curious..are you guys getting a pin for savings on a "future trip" either savings or for quick service dining plan.

There is a promotion right now for discounts on the rooms without a pin. Well it is just thru the summer tho.
