Got a PIN! Scored RPR for $125 a night!

Really wish I'd got this PIN! Shouldn't really complain though as our rate is currently $142 a night but this would be that little bit sweeter!

Newbie...ugh...not planning on going until October for first time [youngest will be tall enough and harry potter]....

sadly have missed the hoopla about tix....so i'll try AAA tomorrow [fingers crossed]

but thinking I'll fill out surveys etc. if needed for a pin.

I always get pins for WDW for some reason. I just filled out info and dvd requests and have been a few times.

Any other tricks to getting pin? or the <$150 rates you're all getting? Thanks.

Thanks!

Trish

nope, not an AP holder...bet I can come up with is that I did an online survey months ago on ticket pricing...new multidate options ( which I weas not crazy about the fees they were suggesting)

I AM an AP holder AND I DID that same survey (plus many others) and we didn't get a pin code. I'm thinking maybe they are just using the term ap holder and sent them out randomly? ....I'm to the point of not trying to figure it out anymore. :upsidedow

I bought an Annual Pass 5 years ago that was never activated and apparently is still valid.. Unfortunately, Universal doesn't have me on file (yet) as having an annual pass. We want to stay at the PBH June 5th-9th or 10th.
I would LOVE to have access to the great cheap hotel rates from these emails with special pin numbers for APH. Are they at all transferable? Anyone have an email pin they can't use? Since we live in WA state, I can't activate my pass until we get there!
Thanks for any help or insight!

As long as you HAVE your AP, it's ok to book your hotel w/ your AP rate (just show them your AP or receipt for it). Then, once you check in, go to the park and activate your AP. Your AP doesn't have to already be active to book AP rate.

We actually got a PIN code (SHOCKER!!!!) but I'm not sure if I'm using it properly online - I am entering it as a promotion code, can anyone tell me if that is correct? (If so, it keeps telling me there's no availability. :()

depends when you're going...there may NOT be any availability

I have checked about 5 different weeks between 2nd week of March and the end of May (for stays of 4 and 5 days) and still found nothing! I FINALLY got a PIN code, and I can't use it. :( (Just my luck though!)

im not an PAP holder anymore:sad2:but im married to one:laughing:

neither of us got the elusive code despite the surveys i complete regularly.

wondering if any such code would qualify for youfirst benefits/upgrades anyway:confused3i'd be surprised if they would.

so, those who did score....

what's the header on the email?

btw, it only takes one AP per room for the discount jik u won't be able to return to make it worth ur while.

I don't have an AP, and we've never been to Universal but I got one, so I'm not sure how they chose.

Also, I obviously had a blonde moment - I just re-read my email and it clearly says the discount can't be booked online....DOH!!!! So maybe THAT'S why there's no availability. LOL

I got it too, I was so exicited....until I realized we couldn't use it, we can't travel to at least Sept.

Does anyone know if they send out PINs all the time?

That was my next suggestion...to call and book it.

first I've ever heard of it

Do you have any idea how they got your email address?

I got the pin today too! I am feeling a bit giddy about it! We are staying at royal pacific for one night this upcoming Friday - our rate WAS $297 with tax and that's with our AAA discount. Our new rate with the pin code is $189 with tax - so we saved about $110 ! It was killing me to be paying $300 foir one night so I am soooooo happy to get this last pin at the last minute.
also - not an AP holder and never have been - but I did sign up on the universal website to get email updates. When I called the operator didn't ask for my pin number - but instead wanted my email address.

The only thing I can think of is that I have signed up for email updates on the website. I have also priced packages on the website before as well but I don't remember if I gave my email at that time.....

Do you have any idea how they got your email address?

I just got my pin tonight too! I was really excited at first- we would be at PBH for $175/night- but now I need to wait and see if my AAA office has any $99 tickets available. If they don't, I guess the pin won't work for me, b/c our orig. package has us locked in at the $99 price (for 5 people, so that extra/ticket adds up!)... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they might have a few available!

Then I need to decide- do I keep the same room I had for less money or do I spend the same and upgrade to Club???

Hey,

If anyone is SURE they are not using their PIN, I am in desperate need of one, or at least the link to the offer! We're planning to head over this weekend and the best AP rate I can get is $200 at RPR!

If anyone could PM me a link, I'd love it!!

Jim

The offers are not transferable, as they have your name on it with
the pin# and the e-mail address where they sent it.

For what it is worth, the e-mail address I got it at was from several
years back(I was on dial up then)2003 or 2004 , so if you have ever listed
more than 1 e-mail with anything Universal I would check them.

I was just going to say the same thing. The pin was a number but they didn't even ask me for it - they only wanted the email address they had sent the offer to.
