Got a great deal on luggage.......more

I have been searching for a good deal on luggage for weeks. Today I got a code for 50% off something in the JC penny spring/summer book. The set is 4 pieces, all expandable...30'', 26'', 20'',12 inch tote bag...AND it comes with a free garment bag. I bought the 5 pieces for $60.00(that includes shipping and tax). Since it was such a good deal, I made Dh order a set in his name. That's 10 pieces for $120!!!

The code is HALFOFF


The key is you MUST use a catalog number NOT the internet number for it to work. So, you can't just shop around for something...I found the luggage in the catalog, and ended up doing a search with the number I found there.

I would order quickly, you never know when they will pull a code like this.

I've been trying to get it to work too. I changed the codes to the catalog code A instead of the online letters and drop the last letter, I can't get it to work for me.

Are you trying to order more than 1 thing? I think the 1st time I did it I left a space between the A and the next number, and it would not work. Then I did it without and it worked. Make sure you are using the catalog code.

What is the catalog code number mean?? I have a spring catalog in front of me...not sure what you mean by catalog number??thanks...amy

For example I ordered the luggage set on page 442. It is the 4 piece set with bonus bag. Look on that page. On the right hand side it is the 2nd one down. Right before the price is listed this is the catalog number....A047-3152.

Go to their home page. Toward the bottom you can search 1 of 2 ways. By a typical search, or by typing in a catalog number. When you see that box, type in your catalog number. It should take you directly to the item you want. Click on add to cart, or buy this(I forget what it says) Then toward the top, click on my cart...when you are checkingout, you'll see the promo code box. IN that box you need to type in HALFOFF (all in caps).

I had no problem getting it to work. Thanks so much for the code. It looks like a really good buy. I hope the quality of the luggage is decent (but for this price, it doesn't even matter actually as long as they last thru 4 or 5 vacations, we're OK).

It is similar to the set I ordered(she said it is actually one down on the scale of quality) and hers had held up for 5 years so far.

Hopefully the quality hasn't changed.

Help it is not working for me...I am putting in the catalog number and then HALFOFF in the prom box...it comes up that this discount does not apply to what I am ordering..what am I doing wrong... thanks...amy I am ordering the luggage with A047-3152.. it does not work for me...can anyone help...

Are you searching using the catalog number from theor home page, then adding it to your cart then checking out???

I know someone who had to clean out their cookies and retry for it to work for them.

I tried to use it for the wheeled duffel on pg. 440 but it wouldn't allow it. Maybe it is an exclusion because it's a licensed item. Oh well, thanks anyway. Maybe I'll find something else instead.
