No e-mail, no AP. I read that someone last night was by the cm on the phone that they were given code XXX (code removed--it requires a PIN number). So, I called and gave it a try and sure enough- got the code applied to my reservation. No questions or problems! Got POFQ at $79/night for 6 nights on two rooms- save a total of $648 for both rooms!!!!! Very excited!!! The cm was very nice and polite!
She never said if this was an e-mail code or a new code for everyone- I sure wasn't going to ask! Anyway, those of you who didn't get an e-mail might call and try- it sure worked for me!

What are your dates for travel?

Sorry, I was so excited I didn't think to post that. We are going Dec. 5-11th. The old code for Sept. I think was xxx (removed), so this one must be Oct.- Dec. I can't remember who posted the xxx(code removed) last night, but thanks a lot!!!!:Pinkbounc
Edited to thank Exp626 for the very helpful information about the xxx (code removed) code!!!!! (I found the post)

Anyone else get this discount!?!?!?

Way to go tink2. I wonder if it applies to Ft. Wilderness Cabins?

Is this a general code for the public for Oct. - Dec.???
ADP

I just called and asked if the code could be applied to my existing reservation. After I gave the code the CM asked "do you have the PIN # that goes with that code?". She said one was required because it was a direct marketing offer. I mentioned that other people had gotten the discount with just the code and she said without the PIN # the discount would not be valid.

This is just like the other round of direct-mail offers that went out a few weeks ago. I wouldn't be surprised if this thread gets deleted because it lists a code that is not for general use.

Congrats, Tink! Just called and CM told me this was still a direct email code. She wouldn't let me apply it. Bummer. Oh well. Still keeping fingers crossed.

Julie

Same for me. Was asked for the Pin Number, so it could not be applied.....Steve

On phone now with a CM...code xxx (code removed) requires a PIN.

He said they cannot book ressie without the code.

and the CM said I needed a PIN number that would have been on the postcard so it did not work!!!

Thanks Tink2!!!!

The CM I spoke with did not ask for a pin number!!! YEAH!

I booked two courtyard view rooms at the Wilderness Lodge for
$137.50 per night per room plus tax. Our dates are December 5,6 and 7. The CM was very helpful and said the BAH code was listed as a September-December code and it was a the bottom of their lists of codes.

Thanks again for the information. ::yes::

Sorry- I guess I just got lucky with the cm then! I didn't know it was an e-mail one- I wasn't going to chance asking after she said she'd apply it. I was trying to help.........

Edited to say congratulations seastar!!! Maybe there is hope for everyone else! Like everything else, it's all in the luck of the cm who answers the phone!

Tink2:

I guess we posted at the same time.

You sure helped me!!!!!!!! Have a great day.:Pinkbounc

Ah, don't feel bad! Sounds like your info. is helping some. I think this happens a lot. Right before they release a general code, they have a code that is a little bit ambiguous (she says with her fingers crossed, once again). So, hoping others get this one.

Julie

Code didn't work for me either! Need a PIN#!

I would check your reservations in a few days to be sure you have the discout if I was you!

Just an FYI for those of you that got the discount without the PIN -

When the last batch of direct-mailers went out a few weeks ago I called and gave the CM the 3-letter code. The CM entered the code and told me my new lower reservation total and never asked for a PIN.

However, before I hung up I asked if the code required a PIN. When the CM looked more closely he saw that it did and said it was good I asked because the rate would not have been valid without the PIN. He said the PIN needs to show on the reservation (that gets downloaded to the resort). If the PIN doesn't appear on the reservation then you have to show the direct-mailer at check-in.

I'm glad I asked about the PIN because I'd worry about what would happen at check-in.

Debbie

Hey Tink, that's great!!! I'm so glad you got the discount! I guess it just depends which CSR you get. I got the email and had the pin and the person I booked with asked for the pin and then even confirmed twice the name I was booking matched the name associated with the PIN # I had. The CSR was very nice, but I could tell I would not have gotten the discount rate without the PIN and if I didn't have the right name and address to go with it. Glad you didn't get my CSR when you called! LOL!

Congrats again, especially since we are same date buddies at POFQ! LOL!

I called as soon as I read the first original post... the CM applied the code to my existing ressie at POFQ for 12/9-12/14... I got a rate of $77/night. I than asked if I could upgrade to the Poly for the first 3 nights of our stay and got a rate of $209/night for garden view.

She didn't say anything about needing a pin number. I told her I read about a code on the internet and was wondering if I could apply it to my existing reservation. She checked and said it was available.

Now that I read the other posts about others being told they need a pin # to receive this rate, I'm a little nervous about being charged rack rate. But I think if I was told by the CM I could use the code and I receive my confirmation with this rate, they would have to honor that rate. Doesn't anyone think this should be the case??

Well, I tried anyway and got the same response - I needed to have the email for the promotion. He then quoted me rack rate for the one day I wanted in November. I said it was more than I wanted to spend right now and I would wait. He said that would be a good idea as there may be codes coming out. It was vague but hopeful...

I agree with you, Little Mermaids Mom.

If the CM did not ask for the PIN and you have a confirmation letter with the discounted rate, they would need to honor that rate. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I plan on calling a few days before my trip to confirm the rate. By then, maybe even better rates will come out that can be applied to our existing reservation.
