I got a call yesterday from a very nice man named Josh. He was following up on an email I sent to Disney after our April trip. We had a couple on incidences that I wanted to bring to their attention. They were safety related. One was a door closure in the ASMU lobby. The door closed quickly and caught my sons fingers and smooshed them. The were pretty messed up, but nothing broken. I didn't want it to happen to anyone else. Also, there was what I think may have been a food problem because 3 of us ate something of the same and all got "stomach trouble" afterwards. It was bad enough that we didn't want to stray to far from the bathrooms. ;)

Anyway, he was very nice and we talked about our upcoming July trip and he checked our PS's at the California Grill to make sure it stated it was our 20th anniversary and checked to make sure the rehitching ceremony was noted on our ice cream ressies. I thought that was nice of him.
Also, he gave me a guest service number that I will use at Epcot any day we choose and it will allow us into the VIP seating area for Illuminations.
He was very understanding and seemed he cared enough about our problems. We also taked about the message boards since we were talking about the rehitching ceremony and asked how I heard about it since it's not something they "advertise". Turns out he pokes around various boards to see what people are saying and talking about. He comes here sometimes...HI JOSH!!!
but he said mainly he pokes at intercot. I thought it was cool that they do look!
Anyways, I was very impressed and he gave me his email addy so I can write him when we get back in July, because he wants to know if everything was ok on that trip. Very nice! I was impressed!! GO DISNEY!!

Good customer service- thats one of the things I love about Disney!

We had eaten at the Asmu food court. Three of us felt ill after eating tomato sauce items. My DH had a pizza, he was the sickest and me and my DS split a meatball sub. We were sick, but not as bad as he was. The other 2 kids who ate other meals, felt fine. I thought maybe it was the tomato sauce. It didn't deter us from going back there tho. I thought their food was very good!

It is wonderful to see that customer service still exists somewhere. To me Disney = Detail. From the resorts, rides and themes to the way people should be treated.... Disney has spoiled me to alot of other places like Atlantic City and Las Vegas. I am always comparing what I see there to what I've experienced at WDW. Way to go Disney!!!;)

Congratulations on your 20th!

WDW has always come through when real concerns have been raised. That's just one of the many things that keeps us going back.

Last year my wife was talking to a CM at Central Reservations and was told that WDW has people who monitor these boards on a regular basis. It makes sense to do that.

Hi,

What is the rehitching ceremony? :bounce: I'm so excited about learning something new. This site and all the people here are amazing.

You still can teach an old dog new tricks. ;)

Congrats on your 20th!!!!!!

The Rehitching Ceremony at the Garden Grill is loads of fun. Your server acts as the "preacher" and has you both stand. He/she asks if "you do" and if your spouse does -- hopefully, you'll both say "yes" again! ;) Then the fun part: you kiss until everyone counts to 100!

They count to 10 by 1's, then from 10 to 100 by 10's. The servers try to get other diners involved in counting and clapping.

Bring a camera to get some pix. They used to provide a nice cake (complimentary) for dessert and a certificate of the magical moment.

Tip: ask for Sam (CM) if he is on duty. He is a BIG HAM and works hard to get any characters and other servers involved in your ceremony!
