Hubby wants to bring the GoPro to the parks. I don't think we've gone to disneyland since the selfstick ban. Anyone had any trouble bringing in/using a GoPro with the chest mount or the short handle held grip stick? Thanks!

My guess is the chest mount would be okay. The "short stick" would not.

Again this is just my guess.

I think that the 8 inch hand grip is fine going through security. As long as you don't stick your hand out of any ride vehicles I don't think CMs would notice it.

As Ashley stated the key is whether the stick extends. If it does, they won't allow it. If it doesn't it's fine. You'll see a lot of people using the floaty stick things, that are meant for diving. One of the better ideas for a stick I've seen used in the parks is just using your a gorilla pod as a stick. It gives you a steady stick and a tripod all in one. Chest and head mounts should also be no problem.
