Maybe I am the only person who didn't know but I just went to phone Disney on Dialer and found out Google has discontinued it. I always used it for phoning Disney. As far as I can understand Google Voice is the alternative but doesn't work for Canadians. What have people found they can use instead of Dialer for free calls to Disney?

I learned this a few months ago after needing to call . There was no way I was sitting on hold untold hours without some sort of plan. My husband and I searched for a free alternative but nothing seemed as easy .

So I went back to an old standby and purchased a PC calling card from Shoppers Drug Mart . It sets the rate at $0.04 per minute and I can reload the card online.
Honestly though I only ever call the USA a few times a year so a $10 card will last a year . Any monthly long distance plan on my cell is just a waste of money .

I just saw the old thread about this. I read that you had used 1-888-870-9173 phone number. Did it not end up working well for you? I am just trying it now. EDIT: 64 minute wait just to reach an initial person and then of course that much longer to get transferred to the area I actually need, lol. Going to the text now app that someone else said they tried.

It worked perfectly and I just went and searched for that old thread to give you the number :-).

But I did end up using the calling card to call about other issues that weren’t ticket related because I didn’t think I could use it to get directly to the IT department which I needed to fix an issue on my MDE account.

Update: Also tried Textnow, call seems to have gone through fine. We will see which one answers first.

Ah ok thx. I need to upgrade my annual passes, so I need to talk about tickets, but of course I assume I will need to speak to the annual passholder line instead. Now we just need to hope we can actually upgrade the passes if we can't maybe we will just have to use our free 3 day park hopper plus tickets and only plan on one trip this year. We are hoping to go at Christmas so I need to upgrade the passes from Gold to Platinum.

I believe you can use Whatsapp to call people, even in other countries, using wifi instead of your phone. I think you have to connect it to an actual phone number, but then you can call the US. There are probably others that are similar. My son's friend uses it on his phone as he doesn't have calling on it, just data.

1 hour on hold, they picked up, then messed up and phoned ticket services, hold for another 45 then they say AP's aren't for sale.....then understood put me on hold to speak to AP services for another 30 minutes and .....click, grrrrr, there's 2 hours I will never get back. Called in again, will be over an hour to speak to someone and then hope they get the answer from the right people. It sounds like we can't upgrade even though the passes haven't been activated.

I have called Disney several times in the last few weeks. Each time when I've called I've been able to request a call back rather than waiting on hold. Each time they have called me back pretty quickly... 30-60 mins later.
