Day 5- A Very Early Morning
Although I loved the special time with Goofy, I was missing dh and the other boys a whole lot. I never seem to sleep as well without dh sleeping next to me, so when I found myself tossing and turning in the wee hours of the morning, I decided to get up and enjoy some time on the balcony. I grabbed my camera, wrapped up in the robe they had hanging in the closet, nabbed a fruit tart that we had in the room fridge from one of our earlier meals and a bottle of water we had left over from room service the night before and quietly snuck out on to the balcony instead of just flopping around trying to convince myself to sleep. I was well rewarded for my troubles. This is what I saw:
Soon, I was delighted to see the sun rising. It was very beautiful and most especially peaceful. I felt so blessed to have had that time!
What a great way to begin a day. I don't do it often but I always feel blissful when I am able to watch the sun make it's way up into the sky. Some of my favorite WDW memories involve watching the sunrise. I already have wonderful memories/pictures of doing so at the CR, the WL and at AKL. I was happy to be able to add another Disney sunrise to my list.

Shortly after sunrise I made my way back inside and took my time getting ready. Then, I grabbed my Kindle and made my way across the hall to the lounge while Goofy continued to get some more sleep. I enjoyed an early morning cup of tea while catching up on some reading. In no time at all, it was time to wake up my sleeping Goofy, doing breakfast and then heading out to jump on a Friendship launch. We were heading to Disney Hollywood Studios on this day and we were both very excited to be on our way.
As we boarded we said good morning to the captain and he asked us if Goofy would like to come up and see how the boat ran. So while everyone else was continuing to board and getting settled, Goofy got a mini tutorial in captaining a Friendship launch. He was all smiles!
We found so many of the Friendship launch captains to be amazingly friendly and helpful. Two thumbs way up for the water transportation in the EPCOT resort area!
In what felt like no time at all we were walking through the turnstiles at DHS. The opening act was cute and both of us found ourselves laughing at the silly jokes and banter. We got there before the park opened so that we could head over and grab a set of fast passes to ride TSM as soon as the park opened. Well, apparently us and everyone else who was at DHS for the day had the same idea. By the time we walked directly over (we didn't run but we far from 'slowly strolling' either) and stood in the lines that had already formed in front of the multiple fast pass machines and then inserted our cards into the machine we were already looking at a FOUR HOUR return time!! Our return time was right about 1:00!
I think every single person at DHS's park opening must have gone straight to the Pixar area. It was jam packed. I took one look at the already crazy stand by wait time and we cleared out of that area of the park (with our fast passes safely stowed away).
Up first for us? Well, this was Goofy's trip and he loves the Muppet's so we headed over to Muppet's 3-D.
As always, we found Muppet's 3-D to be funny and both of us ended up laughing a whole lot. After the show, we took some of our precious early morning park time and did a little bit of shopping in the Muppet's store.
On of the biggest surprise of this morning came when Goofy requested to just walk around exploring for a bit. I was happy to accommodate him and once again reminded of just how different my boys are. No ride fest for my lil' Goof for sure!
Look who we found. Ha ha ha.
Sorry folks, I guess this will just be a partial update. I just glanced down at the clock and realized that I have to be at the soccer fields in only 6 hours. AHHHH. It's way past time to head for bed.
Night DISers! I will finish this update soon.
