I am a local so have been to this candy store many times. Last night I went there to get a couple of those white chocolate marshmallow sticks(4 little marshmallows). They have always been around $1.49. Imagine my disbelief when I noticed the price went up to $3.95(over a 300% markup). Are they kidding me? The pretzel rods went up to $2.95 and if you want them dipped with toppings they went up to $8 for 3 rods or $5 per marshmallow stick. It used to be around $3 for 3 rods and this was just right before christmas. Disney is completely pricing out all the locals and anyone using cash. I can see a slight price raise but we are talking about 333% raise. I am livid now.
We used to eat at a sit down about every 2 weeks but have not done so in 11 months due to the outrageous price increases and the lowered quantity and quality of food. I would remind disney that attendance is cyclical and you are burning all your bridges with your annual passholders and those who do not want your overpriced meal plan. Ludicrous behavior from disney.
