This morning at IHOP we were talking about our upcoming trip. I was telling how the thing I was most looking forward to was driving under the arch that says Walt Disney World.

I actually started to cry while saying it. Well, DH handed me a napkin and everyone laughed, including me. I explained to them that I look forward all year to being on vacation in WDW with my family and I didn't care what they thought about it! But, I still felt a little silly.

Oh well... a little too sentimental I guess.

Aw, sweetie  that's all right.
When we took my parents on a Disney Wonder cruise in January (we had booked it a year in advance) my Mom just got so teary-eyed when we first walked onto the ship and she was just in awe of everything, it was so sweet.

I think it's great that you're looking forward to your vacation.
Vacations are "special", especially when they are with family that you love.

I'm the one who easily cries as well about WDW. I feel pretty stupid but it happens all the time! You aren't alone!:teeth:

I think that is really nice. Tears of joy, anticipation.

Here, to hold you over a bit, from about 10 days ago..................

You are definitely not alone!! WDW makes me so emotional, so happy, I always cry there. But, it's a good thing! :goodvibes

Don't feel bad...I'm crying reading this thread (really).

I totally understand. Last time I was at IHOP I cried too. Those syrup bottles really hurt when you drop one on your toe. They should put a warning label on those things.

Dan Murphy, you are a prince! I needed that picture.::yes::

I do the same thing. When I start talking about Disney--and I pause--my son always says, "It's OK , Mom--you can cry"

The other night (3 days after we returned from our fabulous trip to WDW) an OLD episode of Full House came on and they were at Magic Kingdom. All the sudden my son (8yrs old) says with shaky voice "Boy, that brings back some great memories" --then he starts to cry and says, "I miss it so much, everything was so great there"--so of course, I start crying too--

There's no place like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just got back from Disney, and I swear, I cried so much!
1. on the airplane when they announced Benji's name.
2. when we were getting on the tram and we all people carrying Disney bags.
3. When we saw the GKTW volunteer at Orlando Airport.
4. The Disney Arch!!
5. Meeting the characters and seeing the kid's parade at Ohana! I can no longer listen to "I just can't wait to be King" without tearing up. I'm tearing up now as I type.
6. every time I was on the monorail.
7. Anytime i spied Mickey in the same room as me.
8. Anytime I think of Disney!!!
I don't see the tears as bad. I think of it as liquid pixie dust!!!

I don't know if it is because it is so late or if it just because I was not expecting to read this but I was laughing so hard there were tears running down my face. :hyper:

I just love that! Thanks for sharing your pixie dust....ooops, I mean tears!

Dont worry. Everyone crys over things. It's like this guy said to me the other day. Everyone was born with tear ducts!!

I wasn't. I had to have tear ducts constructed when I was 6 months old. Does this mean I'm not allowed to cry? ;)

I got choked up just looking at the picture of the arch that Dan posted. Add me to the sap list! :p

You know I read this post and then went on to other posts. Then I sat here and thought about the upcoming trip. Guess what, I got teary eyed thinking about driving under the arch and saying tomyself "welcome home".

I'm so looking forward to being there next month, it's a short trip but I'm so excited.
