Goofy....Lessons for the Artsey Criminal?

Recently a guy in Paris nearly got away with stealing several paintings from the Louvre.

However, after planning the crime, getting in and out past security, he was captured only 2 blocks away when his Econoline van ran out of gas.

When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied:





........."I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh."

He should have just ridden piggy-back on his brother. He's a nice guy and I'm sure he would have shrugged and said "He ain't chevy, he's my brother..."

Ya know GP...the more I think about this guy...what was his name?...hue?.....the more un palateable his behavior becomes! I mean, why would anybody go to all of that trouble and then brush aside thoughts of filling the tank?? Somebody should just smock him!

But...Wyeht it didn't occur to him?

He must have been drawing on his many talents to plan this...in fact...he's alleged to have quite the portfolio of art crimes!

At least the police found this crime quite soluble! and he didn't varnish in to the streets of Paris!

...which he could have Easely done!

And...it didn't cost the taxpayers alot of monet ...as would have a huge manhunt where the police had to canvas the entire city!

Art crimes you say?? Well I will admit he is a shadowy fella, but I think our Hue is a color or two short of a rainbow!!! Perhaps his planning is just a bit opaque and lacking in flair ! After all, forgetting to fill the van with degas is more than a littlepicasso ....don't you think???
