Goofy hit a customer

Honestly, yes. When I saw the title of this thread I thought the OP was going to tell where Goofy purposely decked someone, because they odds are so low that it would ever happen. The low odds are what would make it a story. While shocking without a doubt, I'm not naive enough to believe that a character would NEVER, EVER, hit a customer, if provoked enough. And there are people out there that could provoke enough on purpose, to get a reaction.
As a PP said, I'm not surprised if we learned that this happened, to at least some degree, at CM regularly. Goofy accidentally hitting a guest while doing the regular napkin dance at CM is not an incident to me. Goofy acting incorrectly and accidentally hitting a guest is an incident. But in this case it sounds like Goofy was doing his role at the meal, not acting "goofy" or out of line.
So sorry you were tricked into opening the thread.

The poor customer and poor Goofy must have felt terrible.

Tigger once broke my nose. Not on purpose clearly but we were at Crystal Palace and I'm not clear how it happened but he lifted his head up and bopped me right in the face and I had a bloody nose every where. It was fine I didn't care my nose has been broken before and it was the our last night so whatever. But the horror on the CMs faces and poor Tigger felt awful. I felt so bad for them, and I think they were surprised that I legitimately didn't care that I got hurt.

And then there are the incidents where the roles are reversed and Goofy is the one who is attacked (and injured) by an out of control "guest" (I'm looking at you J. Bieber).

My Lord did I ever stir the pot. I change thread to goofy used his left hand. Swayed set hand to the left then with a quick left to right. An then the cloth item in his hand impacted the left upper cheek of the customer. That what I will change the thread name too.
My god people calm down. Y'all act like you read something that in not true.
Just reporting what I saw.
This is the problem we have in this world. Jumping on people for nothing.
If I offended anyone im Sorry. I will go to my safe space now

I do believe Goofy has been warned in the past for such actions. He really needs to get his act together. I suspect drinking was involved.
No idea how long ago in the past is, or how many incidents there have been, but surely there is not one single CM in the costume at CM every day, all day, for X years.

Have you ever been in a costume like that? There is a very small viewing area, usually through the character mouth and shielded by a mesh-like fabric. Drunk? Hardly.

PP was making a joke

Funny, when i read the title i instantly thought someone got hit at Chef Mickeys during the napkin dance. It happened to me back in 1996. Was leaving Chef Mickeys during the napkin dance and walked by Chip or Dale and Pow, right in the side of the head. I got an extra big hug from him and a funny story to tell.

I'm pretty sure if a CM in a Goofy costume intentionally clocked a guest, it would be all over the news. LOL. By my eye, the title is fine.

But to comment on the story... holy moly! I bet both Goofy & the gentleman he hit had some heck of embarrassment. I mean, on one hand you got sucker punched by a disney character.... and on the other hand, you're a classic character that just wolloped a person. LOL

Hopefully the guy wasn't actually hurt. Not apples-to-apples, but I remember when I was younger we got breakfast in Epcot. My parents both got coffees, and my sister and I got chocolate milk. For whatever reason, 8 yo me believed my parents coffee was my chocolate milk, and I took one gigantic gulp. Scorched my tongue. I remember it completely ruining my day (my tongue was pretty much blistered).

If it wasn't a big deal, I'd probably make a joke like "I'd feel a lot better with a FastPass+ to FoP!

Given Goofy's slurred speech, wobbly walk, lower inhibitions and the number of "accidents" he has had, I hardly think you can rule intoxication out.

I think to keep him and others safe Disney should remove him from driving his normal float in the Main Street Electrical parade.
