Can anyway help?

If you are staying concierge, GF main bld, will the IPO help organise an in room surprise for me every night of our stay?

Id like to surprise my new husband with a Chocolate Mickey, Tuxedo strawberries, Chocloate cigars, champagne, truffles just as a surprise evry night when we return form the parks??

Can they organise this or will I have to call myself to In room Dining to organise.

Ive got loads of ideas, maybe hiring the Grand Yacht to watch Wishes and was sort of hoping they would help me organise this as a surprise, maybe type up a card, sort of invitation left on his pillow?

Is this the sort of thing they do, ive never stayed concierge before so dont wanna ask and be told no, dont wanna look silly!!!

Has anyone done this type of thing before or have any ideas for surprises??

All your help/info would be gratly appreciated.

Thanks

I have not done this myself, but I have heard of other honeymooners doing it. My suggestion is to ask on the wedding and honeymoon board. They may have a direct number to call to have this done. I know it is possible, anything in disney is if you are willing to pay!

You can ask the concierge through email or call them. I am doing this for my DH for our Dec trip and the WL concierge are arranging it for me.

Sure they will. I hear they do it all of the time. Just call one if the Planners and they will talk you through it.

I ordered 6 tuxedo strawberries and a glass mickey head christmas ball ornament to be personalized. I also ordered two golden mickey ear hats with our names. When I emailed concierge, they presented me (via email) with pics or ornaments b/c we are going at Christmas and my DH wants to get an ornament for every trip we go on(anywhere not just DW) so I thought that it would be a good gift. Let me know if there is any other way I can help, we had our HM at DW last year, and I didn't even know about any of this then!

The IPO staff will take care of everything for you. Last month I had lots of goodies...Cristal Champagne, chocolate cigars, choc strawberries, golden ears, and flowers. The flowers were from WDW florist and I have to say they were the most beautiful I have ever seen. The arrangement was huge , colorful, packed with flowers and lasted our entire trip. It also came in a beautiful mickey vase. which my DH now keeps full of flowers...a great keepsake from a wonderful vacation.

We are going back this December and I have some more goodies planned...

the IPO staff at the GF is the best.

PS the chocolate cigars are to die for

I am also looking for ideas, DH & I will be there in Jan. to celebrate DH's graduation from college. I have another post about this floating around here somewhere.

I am staying at POP, are these types of things available there as well? Also any other ideas are welcome.

Thanks all!

For food related requests, I would highly suggest going straight to the source, Private Dining. They will be happy to assist you and less chance of something falling through the cracks. In regards to purchasing gifts or making spa appointments, go through pre-planning. They will need to have your credit card on file too.

These are exactly the things that Concierge can do for you. Talk to your pre-planner. They should have no problem with the invitation and can help you make the booking arrangements and maybe a bottle of champagne and some desserts on board.

Sounds like you are having fun with your planning.

I don't believe Old Key West has a concierge, does anyone know if you can do this there??? Somehow??? Anyone???

For resorts that don't have a concierge level or private dining, you can order food treats and gift baskets through the Disney Florist. They can do custom designs if you want, you just need to call them directly to make those arrangements.

If you're interested in booking a specialty cruise or something like that, I believe you need to call the 407-WDW-PLAY number.

We just came back from our WDW trip and we celebrated my husband's birthday while we were there.

I called the Disney Florist about two week before and ordered the "Mickey's Happiest Surprise Cake" to be delivered on his birthday. We stayed at POR and they were great. It was waiting for him in our room when we returned from dinner that night. The look on his face was priceless.

The "cake" is actually made of all disney chocolates bars and such. Plus the fill the middle with all sorts of goodies (gummies, jelly beans, more chocolate, etc.). The mint patties, I thought were the best, excellent dark chocolate with mint filling.

Good luck!!!!

Do you have any pics of this, sounds interesting

That's it. Thanks Tammi, you beat me to it.

The only thing I had done differently was they added a talking Mr. Incredible doll in the middle of the cake. Even though my husband is 33, he just loved it. The Disney Florist also wrote a little poem type note to him for me about how "Incredible" he was ;)

thanks everyone, some great ideas, i especially like the idea of the tree ornament, not someting i had thought of, im gonna steal that idea if u dont mind laura.

thank you all,
