Goodbye Starring Rolls - We will miss you

Bad timing, I guess, both times we tried there. Our rolls were dried out, wasn't planning to go again anyway.

I have nothing Disney-appropriate to say about them closing this place so I'll just leave with....

When are they closing? I'm going in a couple of weeks and need a cupcake!!!!!

They will still have cupcakes; they will just be moved to another place. Disney will not miss out on an oppty to have high-margin snacks available.

My son loved the chocolate croissants from there! Many happy memories of a late bfast/snack at Starring Rolls

I'm with your son - I ate so many of those chocolate croissants over the years. Starring Rolls will be missed. The line at Starbucks is always daunting to me - especially since I don't drink coffee.

Not a fan, so this closure didn't matter to me. Their stuff was dried out (the times I was there).
Bummed for folks who loved the place though. It's always hard but here's hoping something awesome takes its place.

I didn't love their snack options, but it was a great place to sit and have a quiet cup of coffee in the morning. Anyone know what is replacing it and if the outside seating area will remain?

Oh no!! I was just there last week!! I loved to have a late breakfast - a sandwich and maybe the fruit tart - there while my kids were riding Rock and Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. So so sad.

I never understood this place. Weird hours. Weird setup. Bakery offerings. I've eaten there a couple of times. It was pleasant but nothing glorious. I hope they replace it with something more user friendly.

I popped in their occasionally, but I know it was a favorite of so many ppl
I was really surprised to hear of it's closure.
I wish they had more breakfast options in HS.

A. It was just across the street from the DHS Starbucks.

B. They very well MIGHT be going to create another $$$ Table Service restaurant in its place.

Starring Rolls was our go-to breakfast place to take a break and relax at HS. Bummed it closed

B. They very well MIGHT be going to create another $$$ Table Service restaurant in its place.

B. That would be odd as the Brown Derby is right there and Hollywood and Vine and 50s Prime Time are just a minute or two away/

So disappointing. DHS is the only place we really hustle to get to for rope drop; I veer off to ToT while the rest of my crew hits TSM, and then we would all meet back at Starring Rolls for coffee and pastries. It was a nice little tradition and I'm going to miss it.

Ack! We're headed to Disney in 3 weeks, and Starring Rolls is the only place DH finds something decent to eat in HS for lunch. He loves the focaccia sandwiches.

I know many like it for it's food options, but I feel like it's a loss for a nice, quiet(er) place to get off your feet and enjoy a drink/snack/meal in a semi-shaded area. It seems like there are fewer and fewer places to just sit and relax for a bit.

I'm sad and my family will miss it (like Writer's Stop)~ I hope it's replaced with something creative!
