Goodbye American Idol Experience! (update) AND Indiana Jones!

I heard it was going to be a certain cantina....

My source is the brother uncle dads nephews sisters moms aunt of a very important person.

Good thing this is closing American Idol is a little played out at this point.

While the show at DHS was a lot of fun, the tv show has jumped the shark time many times over and it is definitely time to go. The bigger question is..what will become of the space? Is it the beginning of the big makeover over of DHS?

That's good to hear. The show was a joke with 1 horrific singer, 1 decent singer and 1 singer that seemed a little too polished. I've seen it once and that was enough. I'm not sure how much total space there is, but I would love a Monsters Inc ride, just like Disneyland's. Can a ride fit in there?

I'm wondering why its still running into 2015. Why prolong this?

Kinda glad to see it go in a way. I audition every time i go and get told that they only want people who ham it up and that no matter how well you sing unless you put on a show as well you won't be chosen. .

While I can't say that I'll miss it, every time I walk past the Wonders of Life pavilion, I get concerned that closing one attractions doesn't necessarily mean that there is a master plan for the future.

It certainly won't be missed here...We went to the show a couple of times and it was just pretty boring.

Good! I never went, I don't want to spend time at wdw listening to people who can or can't sing.

Personally, I'm happy to hear this. I wish that they would bring back Superstar Television, but I highly doubt that will happen. It's going to be so nice to be dining at Min and Bill's or walking to Great Movie Ride and not have some former contestant yelling at me from the big screen to come audition. In fact, if they just got rid of that, I'd be content.

Here's hoping they put something better in the space rather than leaving it empty. Idol was dead a long time ago anyway. :confused3

THRILLED!!!!
Hopefully something good is on the way soon to replace both this and Sounds Dangerous. And hopefully not another uneventful reality tv show attraction. It's below Disney.

Just another building I walk by while on my way to somewhere else!

Not something I need to see, but I enjoyed the show when I went. Only happy if something cool replaces it.

This is good news. We did it once and that was enough for me I've often wondered how they can fill the audience for the shows multiple times a day if others felt the same way I did and could care less about American idol anymore. Hopefully something awesome is in the works!

It would be a great spot for a DVC Sales Office...!!!

That is right, and I've been chosen a few times.

Here's what I do: choose a song that everybody knows, when you audition show them your "awesome" dance moves, really look like you're having fun.

The deal is that the audience wants to be entertained, and "bad singer with silly dance moves who thinks he's a good singer" is much better than "decent singer who kinda stands in one spot"

I do a mix of Travolta's Saturday Night Fever and Travolta's Pulp Fiction along with a few other techniques (the sprinkler, the one where you grab your ankle and put it by your butt and then kick your knee out spastically, air guitar, etc) When you throw on a set of Mickey Ears I really look like a fool, and that's what makes it fun!

Never went never wanted to. Hopefully something new comes in.
