Goodbye American Idol Experience! (update) AND Indiana Jones!

Although it isn't my favorite attraction, I always make a point to go - I love the arts and love to hear people sing. I have heard some pretty decent singers there! Hope it will be replaced with something exciting, as DHS is my least favorite of the four parks.

Although I did enjoy Millionaire when they had it, perhaps because I made it to the hot seat 3 times! Not an Idol fan at all.

I used to say the only reason that American Idol the show is still running is because the "winner" gets a pass to the audition. I think they still do that right?

I wonder if this is any indication that the show will also be saying goodbye? I think it's time it's all the same "oh s/he came from a hard life and had these struggles let's make him a star!" Not that there is anything wrong with that it's just after the 5th "sob story" it looks a little faked!!



Hoping for more Pixar or something else really great!! And I know the SW people are hoping for an expansion of that!! Which would be good too, I'm not a big SW fan but a ton of people are so it'd be good!!

I do a mix of Travolta's Saturday Night Fever and Travolta's Pulp Fiction along with a few other techniques (the sprinkler, the one where you grab your ankle and put it by your butt and then kick your knee out spastically, air guitar, etc) When you throw on a set of Mickey Ears I really look like a fool, and that's what makes it fun!

Since I'm there right before it goes maybe i'll do Let It Go with movements for my audition and see if i get anywhere. Just to me I sing to sing, it feels weird to ham it up when i sing.

I liked the show but understand its something that can't run forever.Now when they close it I certainly hope we hear what will be replacing it and that its something good,I mean this park is lacking in a lot of areas and I wouldn't be happy to walk by this building for years if its just going to sit empty.I would prefer them to extend the closing time of the show by at least a week as the last two years I've seen 3-4 of the daily shows on the Monday after running the full marathon,its about as good a place to be in a Disney park without having to walk too much and be seated to rest my stiff knees.

I like it because it pulls a few thousand out of the wait lines for the good rides...Now they will be more crowded with one less attraction.

I always felt like this show just came too late. I know Idol still gets ok ratings, it is nothing like the superstar making phenomenon it was originally, so the attraction is just unnecessary IMO.

I've heard some great and not so great singers here but always have enjoyed the attraction for a cool down and a rest and the singing. I'm glad they only choose people who try and put on a performance. Just watching someone stand still and sing isn't really about been an Idol is it? Hopefully they will replace it with something else fun too.

Sad to see AIE go. I've always enjoyed that show, particularly the finale show. Then again, I'm one of the few Disney fans who enjoyed it. I can understand this decision. They jumped on to the whole AI bandwagon very late. This is a result of a combination of things though ranging from poor attendance to declining AI ratings to a lot more complicated stuff.

Regardless, any notion that we'll be seeing a new ride in this space is misguided at this point. As of now, the plan is to expand the JTA into ABC Soundstage as part of Star Wars Land. Should that go as planned, the remaining available space might be enough for a small show but there's no plans currently in the works as far as I know. Sorry.

sorry, not a song choice....LOL, my daughter feels the same way, she is a voice major at college, the song choices are a little lacking

You could be on to something! Even though Let It Go isn't a song choice, I'm sensing a possible DIS Meet here!
