As many here know, Tiger Fan (Lisa) has been fighting a rather virulent breast cancer, Inflamatory Breast Cancer (the same type that stole our friend Sylvia from us several years ago) for some time know. She refers to it as 'the beast' and it truly is. But it can be beaten, so many have shown that.
Lisa has had surgeries in the past and has been on a constant chemo treatment for some time now. Well, they found another tumor in her remaining breast and after the mammogram the radiologist felt it was malignant. Lisa had a surgical biopsy on Monday and is awaiting the results. Please keep Lisa and her lovely family in your thoughts and prayers, she sure can use them in her battle of 'the beast'.
Also, another DIS'er, Kmr (Kathi), herself a breast cancer survivor of a about 2 years, has her hubby, Gerry, fighting the battle. He was diagnosed last year with a most deadly form of cancer, and not given all that much to grab hold of in the hope category. But hope, prayers and medical helps have brought Gerry a long way. Kathi says.......'Gerrys tumors are shrinking! The dr. said he is a walking miracle! He is going to have 2 more chemo treatments and then do another CAT scan and see whats what. His back is still bad, though and he will always have to wear his brace from now on. No real activity for him anymore but if that is the worst of it (we have our fingers crossed) were doing pretty good.' Please do keep Gerry, as well as Kathi and their family in your prayers and good wishes also.
So much appreciated all everybody does here on the DIS, for us, and others.
Family.
