Good to be back!!

Hello, My name is Vicki and I've been Disney-sober for over two years...BUT I'VE FALLEN OFF THE WAGON, BABY!!

I've always wanted to do F & W Festival and spend 2 uninterrupted days at Epcot without kids asking "Are we done, yet?". (They tolerate Epcot for like 3 hours max). So, logged in to my favorite information site and saw that room discounts were availbe through 9/29 and festival starts 9/28 - called and got A/S's for $234 (3 nights) and then called husband to tell him, waited for him to tell me I'm crazy, not another WDW trip, we can't go, blah, blah, blah. Instead he tells me to check prices for one of the Epcot resorts. What??? If it's only going to be for 3 nights, he wants to live a little. I LOVE this man.

Sooo, we're all set at Beach Club for 3 nights end of September and I have my 3 ADR's to Wolfgang's, Chef's de France and Le Cellier - all 3 that my kids could care less for!!

Anyone been to BC lately? We've done a Villa stay in 2002, but never in the hotel itself. Anything new - or heaven forbid, bad - going on?

Oh I am so jealous of you, my DH would never go with something like that especially since we just got back from our trip about a month ago. I too have always wanted to go to F&W with just the 2 of us, but our kids are only 6 and 4 and if they even new we were going without them, I don't know what would happen Anyway, Congrats on going back....Hope you have a wonderful trip.

Well, it has been since May '05 - we're long overdue. My husband and I haven't taken a trip together solo in many years. We've been married 17 years and my kids are 13, 11 and soon to be 9, so hopefully they'll understand.

Just started last year for 7 nights last week in Sept. & first weekend of F & W Fest., that is just Me and DW. This year again last week in Sept. (oh yes by the way our 2 kids in picture are off to college now so we are off and running on our own). Free dining for 9 nights (this year) and runs into the first weekend of the F & W Fest.again.
It was great with the kids but just as good now.

BC is a fabulous resort! You will love your stay there. And it's just a short walk to Epcot for your dining ressies at Chefs & Le Cellier. Enjoy your trip!

During the week days in the parks rides were walk on. But on the weekend and that was the first weekend of the F & W Fest also the crowds were heavy. We only stayed till that first weekend but I heard that during the week days (Mon - Fri) that the crowds are lighter for the F & W but weekends are heavy lost of locals like to go to the F & W.
Trouble this year we are doing the same, only staying till the first weekend start of the F & W. Some year got to try later in Oct. and during the week days.
Lots of different food in Epcot during the Fest. but long waits on the weekends.
