good time to go on points in holding??

Greetings Friends,
I have some points in a holding account that I need to use by the end of July and I am thinking about going sometime in January or February. I am probably looking to get a 1BR. Because I have to book within the 60 day window, does anyone have any input as to when good/bad time to try would be, and do you think I will be basicly limited to a choice of OKW or SSR?

My mom just booked a studio the third week of Jan a couple of weeks ago. The second week of Jan was all sold out. And, yes...she had a choice of OKW or SSR only. She did get on the waitlist for BWV std...and it came through!!

My gut is that your choice may be limited to SSR only...OKW had VERY limited availability a few weeks ago.

The second week of January was probably sold out to the WDW Marathon. You might have trouble over MLK weekend.

Other than that, IMHO, you picked a good time to try to use the holding account points. I think you will be able to find something other than just SSR or OKW as long as your dates are flexible. You can't really tell about availability until you call - it does change frequently.

We nabbed the last 1BR at VWL for 1/16 (Sunday of MLK Wkend) earlier this month, but there was plenty of availability on the 17th and after. Except for the time of the Marathon and MLK weekend, I expect January and much of early February should work fine. Also, last time I checked, there was still MLK weekend availability at VB - and the greatest thing about VB in mid-January is that it's a good 10 degrees warmer there than in Orlando.
