Hi! We will be going to Chef Mickey's for dinner and I'm wondering if there are any "good tables" that might give some kind of cool view of the MK? And are you even allowed to request a certain kind of table when making a PS? Thanks in advance for any help!! :cool1:

Chef Mickey's is on the Contemporary 4th floor concourse. There is no view of the MK from the restaurant.

oops! Ok, thanks for the reply!!!

We've been to Chef Mickey's a few times, and always have been in different parts of the restaurant. I have to say, we've always had a really good time no matter where we sat!

Have fun!

when you walk in there is an area straight ahead that is up a few steps and somewhat secluded. There is a big window there with a nice view.
We liked sitting back here also since it was a little quieter and we thought the Character interaction may have been a little better due to that.
When we first got seated back there we were not too happy since we thought it would be better in the middle of all the action.... but.....we liked it and also liked the view.
I will say though that during the napkin dance there was probably more action in the main open area.

Just don't let yourselves be seated at a large round table that seats 10 that's in the full sun! We were seated there on our XMAS trip, and we tried to sit there for about 5 seconds, thinking that we might need to wear our sunglasses, but it was just so hot, and the sun was giving me an immediate headache so we asked to move. They found another group of tables together and re-seated us right away making some comment about how hard it is to sit anyone at this table. Gee, thanks for trying to seat us at what you knew was a bad table. :)

I believe the section that MrsJ Henry talks about has a view of the castle. Its waaay in the distance.

Juat a tip about taking pictures at CM's. We had a table in front of some kind of glass partition. After the first picture I realized the flash was going to bounce off that glass every time, so we had DS move so his back was to the restaurant and not the glass. We were in a corner to the extreme right, on the same level as the buffet line. The table was kind of off the beaten path, but we still had good service and good character interaction. We were there for dinner on a Friday. :)

We were there in Dec and did not like where we sat at all. :( They sat us on the right side as soon as you enter the restaurant.

While this seemed like it would be nice if DH and I were there alone, it just wasn't good with the kids. It was dark and seemed really secluded. It is only has about 10-15 tables maybe, and the characters made only quick visits.

We would have loved to have been able to sit in the big open area far across the restaurant. It was open and bright.

Just from that experience we will be choosing other Character meals intead of Chef Mickey's again.

When I was last there in Oct. of 2004, I did not like where we sat at all. :sad2: It was off to the left hand side of the restaurant and that seems to also be where a lot of the action happens. Okay back to why I did not like the place we got sat at all, because about towards then end of our meal a bird went to the bathroom on me! :sad2: It was not fun at, I then went in the bathroom to wash it out of my hair. So make sure to watch out for all those birds. :duck:

We've been seated in just about every area possible at CM's. And yes, you do have to watch out for those birds!!! Who would have thought?! But, our favorite seating area is the one off to the right, upstairs. I always thought that would be a yucky spot but I was wrong. We sat there for Thanksgiving dinner. It was wonderful. We got to look out over the lake, see MK in the distance. It wasn't overly noisy and we had terrific character interaction. Our best meal there to date.
