We are planning a Family Reunion/Gran Gathering the 1st week of December and would like to have dinner with each other every night. Does anyone know what restaurants can accommodate a group of 15+? We paln to do the VIP Fireworks dinner at Epcot and the Safari dinner at Animal Kingdom but the other nights are open.

Thanks as always!!!

Sorry can't help with your question but could yu tell me what the safara dinner and the EPCOT Fireworks diner is and where i would fine information on these two, we are 15 in December

thank you
deb

It is for the Magic Gatherings and Grand Gatherings. I know you have to have a certain number of people in your party (more than 7). If you go to the Disney website under Grand Gatherings it will tell you more. With the Safari you get a private safari and then get dinner at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Epcot one is eating at the World Showcase and then getting VIP viewing of the fireworks show. I wish I had more details, I am at work and all of my info is at home:(

Thanks Monkeygirl now i know where to go for more information, don't know about the safari but the epcot fireworks looks pretty cool.

I was thinking what a bummer having to work on a sat nite, then i noticed your from california. East Coast here but my sister lives in Lake Elsidore(sp?)

Some of the buffet style restuarants might work out good for a large group like Cape May, Trials End, Whispering Cannon (this is a lot of fun) most likely would not be able to fit you all at one table but at least in the same area so you could still interact. You could also have pizza delivered to your resort one nite, some resorts have picnic areas

have fun

In Sept. our group of 42 made group dining reservationss through group dining for Chef Mickey's. The grand gatherings dinners get expensive and can be hard time wise, but you can do group dining for any restaurant. They do like to seat you early for large groups though!

I agree with Whispering Canyon. They have larger tables that can seat 10 or so on the sides that could probably be put together for your party. Another option would be Liberty Tree Tavern. We were in a back room of sorts and while you wouldn't be at the same table, you could be put in the same room. Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner might be an option, too. They had table set ups where there were booths along the walls and chairs on the other side of the table. It looked like they could be pulled together and you could easily sit at that all together. We were at a table of 6, there was another table of 6 next to us and a table of 4 next to them.

We've had breakfast at Hollywood & Vine in MGM with a group of 14 all at the same table.

We are 12 to 16 (extended family) of us for October! I have seen some not so great reports about the Grand Gathering Safari. We are going to do the Grand Gathering Good Morning Breakfast in Toon Town which will also provide a group photo.

We are also using the MYW Dining Plan (everyone is on it!) and will use all the "sit down meals" for character dinners!!! We think that will be VERY special for the children who range in age from 3yrs to 9yrs. I was given the Group Dining phone number, can't put my fingers on it at this moment. When I find that number, I will post it here for all the groups! The CM I spoke with seemed to think that it would be best to go through that number for the meal ps's. I might see if my TA can make some of the arrangements for me.

I'll keep the disney family groups posted when I get any new info!!!

O'Hana's is a very popular place for large groups. Many wedding parties, etc dine here. Nice atmosphere, good food and fun place :flower:

Make sure to make your PS or advanced res. (whatever they're calling it now) as far out as you can so they can accomodate you party size and get the time you would prefer.

:cool1:

If you like German food you might try Biergarten at Germany in Epcot.

O'hana at Poly Resort,on recent trip saw many tables moved together for many large grou :wave2: ps of diners. The skewers of Shrimp,Beef,,Turkey and Pork are great with great starter snacks.
