We will be getting to Disney somewhere around noon on our arrival day. We plan to eat an early breakfast, so I figure that we'll be ready for lunch once we get to Disney. Since we don't want to waste a day on our passes, we plan to check out some of the resorts and then hit one of the mini-golf courses after. Our dinner reservation isn't until 6. So what I was wondering is, since we'll already be visting the resorts, where's a good place to eat for lunch? It doesn't really matter if it's table or counter service. I know that if I do choose to eat a TS meal then I need to see if they even have anything open. I want to try and eat somewhere that we've never been to before, which would be a lot of places since this will be only the 2nd trip for us. We already have ADR's for Chef Mickey's, Whispering Canyon, and 'Ohana so I'd like to try something other than those. I'd love to hear what y'all like!

Kona Cafe in the Polynesian is good. :)

I like the ESPN Club if you are interested.
Also, have you considered adding a day to your tickets? If you have a Magic Your Way ticket, adding the extra day may only be a few dollars....

POR and CBR have great food courts. I hear Capt'n Cooks at the Poly is good as well. Kona is open for lunch, and I bet that is really good!

Beaches and Cream at the Boardwalk. You can either eat CS or TS usually without an ADR. And you can eat outside near the pool if you like.

If you are interested in Mini Golf after lunch then perhaps you should have lunch at the Boardwalk. You could see all the Boardwalk resorts (BWV, BCV, YC) and either have lunch at the resorts or have lunch on the Boardwalk. Beaches and Cream is yummy, Spoodles is great, and the Brewery has awesome burgers, quesadillas, and beer of course. The Swan and Dolphin are also by the Boardwalk and there is a mini golf right across from the Swan I believe. It's the Fantasia Gardens mini golf.

Have you thought about doing to Downtown Disney for lunch then hopping a bus to whatever resort you want to check out? DTD has some really good lunch options. DBF and myself always follow this plan, as we usually arrive in the early afternoon ourselves and don't like to waste a day on our passes either. We usually go to either Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck's Express which is my personal fav! :thumbsup2 Wolfgang's menu is tasty and there are alot of different options to pick from. Then you could just hop on whatever resort bus you want to go to. So far, your ADR's sound great! (Whispering Canyon, Ohana & Chef Mickey's) I've eaten at all 3 places and thought all 3 were very good :)

These are all great ideas: Beaches and Cream, Trails End, Captn Cooks, ESPN. Where are you staying? I'd eat lunch at your cs in your resort? It's nice to check out and enjoy your own resort. It's be a relaxing break after your flight, check in etc.

If not, grab a sandwich at Earl of Sandwich downtown disney, cs at AKL is also good.

Kona Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe are two of our favorites. If you want to dine at the Y&BC area, Yacht Club Galley had nice variety and is a pleasant spot. Beaches and Cream is good but has a much more limited menu and is usually crowded and noisy.

BTW, B&C is only table service for food. The only things available at the little takeout area are beverages and ice cream. You can not make a reservation for B&C.

Mara at the AKL is a nice spot for counter service.

At DTD, I'd try either Wolfgang Puck Cafe or Raglan Road.

I thought Spoodles was closed at lunch?:confused3
