good rental rates for someone under 25?

Help! My fiance and I are just under 25, in fact my fiance will be turning 25 a week after we return home. We've never experienced such high rates quotes as we have looking in Orlando. We'll be there from the 09th-19th and can't seem to find ANYTHING for under 700/800! Not to mention the hold they put on your credit card with an additional 15% added to the hold! I'm sorry that's crazy! Does anyone have any advice?

Until I turned 25 we used Alamo and Enterprise. Both I think had a fee per day of the rental for the underaged driver. Are you both going to be listed as a driver? If so, maybe only have one person on the contract. And what kind of car are you looking to rent? And which month are you going?

I would try Enterprise or Alamo and only go with one driver.

Try Enterprise. I just checked and almost all of the cars under Full Size are under $600 with the tax and fees.

It looks like their under 25 fee is like $15 a day. Alamo's I believe is $25 a day.

thanks so much, you have been so much help! we reserved with enterprise. It's costing 500, they hold 600 which is infinately better then anyone else we've seen.

If you don't care what type of car you have or if the car is on-site at the MCO airport, try Rent-A-Wreck. When I was under 25 and travelled to the Orlando area, this is the company I used. They don't have brand new vehicles, but at the time (4 years ago), did not charge anything for drivers under 25.
