What is a good price for a WDW meal voucher. I see them on
e-bay, but I have NO idea what a good price is. How much savings can these things actually give you? Thanks for your help!

You can buy them directly from www.connections123.com for $11 each. They can save you if you plan your meals carefully, especially at Beaches and Cream. Try searching these boards for connections restaurant information.

Most of the vouchers for sale on ebay are the Quick and Casual vouchers. They are available from Connections for $11.50 each (but you do have to join Connections to buy them). Personally, I would not pay more than $12 for them and that's including shipping.

Connections is membership only "club". For an annual fee, you are offered the opportunity to purchase selected merchandise and services for a discount. It is not a Disney related/sponsored club. Do a search (when it's working) and you will see lots of information on it. You should also read this thread if you are considering signing up for the "club":

The meal vouchers are the same ones that Disney includes in some of its vacation packages. The savings will depend on the restuarant you choose and what you order. Many say they save quite a bit. Since I do not normally order a drink, entree, side and dessert (too much food all at once for me), the vouchers are not a good deal for me unless I can share the meal.

HTH.

There are a few places that you can really get you moneys worth. We did go to Beaches & Cream last visit 2 times and both times the meals were over $35.00 so we saved on those, plus it was kind of nice already having them paid for a few months ahead. Of course the membership when we joined was only $79.00, I hear it's gone up since. I didn't feel right joining and gtting the vouchers and cancelling so we decided to get gifts cards for Christmas gifts as well. I am thinking of getting a few on ebay this year, you don't have the hassle of cancelling the membership or the cost of the membership.

be sure to check out the menus from WDW. It even has the counter service menus--you can see how much money you would an average meal will cost for you.

We bought the vouchers from connections as a way to pre-pay for our meals. You only save a $1 or so per meal with them.

Also, keep in mind that one counter service meal can sometimes feed two people. One meal will feed myself, my teen and my 5 y/o.

Quick and Casual vouchers cost members $11.50. Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers cost members $30.

How much should you pay on eBay? That depends.

If you have no desire to get a Connections membership, or go through the process of joining, ordering, and cancelling, vouchers from eBay could be an answer - depending on the circumstances.

I would only get Q&C vouchers via eBay if you plan on using them at Beaches and Cream or Pepper Market. By the time you add the final auction amount and the shipping, you are not likely to save any money at other counter service locations and would be better of just paying cash for your meal.

B&C and PM are a different story. You could feed a family of 4 with two vouchers. We often go to B&C and get $50+ worth of food for the two vouchers. We usually get the drinks, two double burgers with sides, and two huge sundaes. If you would definitely be going to B&C and ordering that much food, it might make sense to get these vouchers on eBay. After all, if you get $50 worth of food for two vouchers, every dollar below $50 you pay represents some amount of savings. How much would I pay? I guess $15 to $20 max including shipping might make them worth it to use at B&C.

Same with the Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers - how much they are worth depends on where you use them and what you order. Check out menus to see what makes sense. For instance, I will use one of these vouchers at the Rainforest Cafe. I'll probably get the stuffed lobster, a shrimp cocktail, a drink, and dessert. With tax and tip the bill for that would be about $70. Even if you paid $50 for the voucher you'd still be saving $20. If you ordered cheaper food you might not save anything.

Do your research. Decide where you would go. Look at the menus and decide what you would order. Figure out how much it would cost, decide how much you want to save, and then you will know how much to pay.
