Good pork chop recipes?

My favorite is Pineapple Pork Chops my aunt used to make:

Season chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder and pan fry until brown. I don't add oil, just spray with a bit of Pam.

Add a large can of pineapple junks with juice and sprinkle brown sugar over top. Cover and reduce heat to low-medium. Simmer until done/tender. You may need to add additional water, depending on how longer you cook them. Yum!

My daughter fell in love with a brown sugar encrusted pork shop at a local somewhat pricy restaurant. I decided to recreate them.

I use thin pork chops. You would need to adjust the cooking time if you are using something different.

Combine:

Half a cup of brown sugar
Half a cup on Panko bread crumbs
salt
pepper

One egg that has been whisked.

Coat the pork chops in the egg and then into the bread crumb mixture. I use a spoon to really press the mixture on the chops and I make sure they are well covered.

In the oven for 20 minutes at 350 and here is the tip that makes them really good. I take them out transfer them to a second backing dish and broil them for a for 2 or 3 minutes to crisp them up.

The reason for the second baking dish is some of the sugar always runs in the pan a little and it will really burn during the broiling.

They take me less than 10 minuites to prepare and I make them once a week.

They taste just like the ones in the restaurant.

McCormick has a spice packet for "Apple Sage Pork Chops". Easy and absolutely delicious! My family practically licks the pan clean when I make them.
You can either buy the spice pack which comes with the recipe on it or you can just make it using the spices you already have. Just Google Apple Sage Pork Chops and the first result that comes up is the link to McCormick's site.

1. Google "Alton Brown pork chops"

2. Thank me later, especially for his molasses and coffee glaze recipe

Personally, I rarely get tired of grilled chops, but when I do I just sear them off in a really hot pan and finish in the oven. Then I make a pan sauce by de-glazing with white wine and adding in some shallots and thyme. Serve with some roasted red potatoes and homemade apple sauce. Done.

All-In-One

Use heavy-duty foil or casserole dish.

Layer:

pork chops
several peeled potatoes cut length-wise
baby carrots
onion slices ( I like lots of onions)
butter pats
salt and pepper

Cover with foil or casserole lid. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes for boneless or 1 1/2 hours for bone-in. Check potatoes to make sure they are tender.

Yummy

Here's an old one that my whole family likes and that doesn't happen too often! I found it many years ago on a Lipton Onion Soup packet.

Pork Chop Bake
4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick

4 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

1 envelope Lipton Onion-Mushroom or Beefy Mushroom Recipe Soup Mix (I often just use the regular onion soup packet and it's fine too)

1 1/2 cups water

Preheat oven to 350
In large skillet, brown chops and drain. In greased 2 quart oblong baking dish arrange the potatoes, then chops. Add the soup mix thoroughly blended with water. Bake covered 1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Makes 4 servings.

Have you tried "Fresh Take"? It's a crumb and cheese mixture in 4 or 5 different flavors, located in the grocery store next to the shredded cheese. When I saw ads for it, I thought, how dumb - I could just add a little shredded cheese to my usual Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. Well, I got a coupon and thought I would try it, and it is delicious! My DD loves the Italian blend and the 4 cheese ones. I just coat the chops in it and bake. Easy and tasty!

Ok this won't be the healthiest option but when I was a really young mom and struggling with $ I threw some Apple Jacks cereal in the blender to make " home made bread crumbs " put a little egg and milk in a bowl coated the pork chops and then in a bowl with the cereal Baked in the oven Those kids are now 38 and 39 years old, still remember they loved it and grandson has had it this way too

I use this marinade for grilled boneless pork chops regularly, and my family loves it.

Honey-Lime pork chop marinade:

1/2 cup lime juice
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 garlic cloves, minced

I put all the ingredients in a microwave safe glass measuring cup and nuke for 1 min, then stir it all together. That keeps the honey from clumping together and makes it easier to mix. Then I marinate for 30 min to as long as overnight.

You can sub lemon juice for the lime juice, but we don't like it as much that way.
