Hi all ~ So I made the plunge, and signed up for the Expedition Everest 5K in May, running with my aunt. I have previously said I'd only be running if I was being chased by a gun, but here I am.
I've started a Couch to 5K-style app and have been jogging/walking for a few weeks now. Shockingly, I don't hate it (I can't believe I just wrote that).
I've been able to find some capri-style pants for running, but I'm having a hard time finding tops. From what I've read on running blogs and websites, they say that wicking tops are the best ones for running. Specifically, that once the weather gets warm especially you don't want to run in cotton shirts.
I've done a bit of looking and I'm having a hard time finding 1X wicking shirts. At the few places I've looked, even the XL shirts were too small, they appear to be cut pretty "tight", I thought. Also, they are pretty short and I like a top that's longer, so it covers or nearly covers my hiney.
So, what websites or stores are best for getting good workout gear? I am hoping to be out of the plus sizes in the next few months, but in the meantime, I will need comfortable workout gear.
Thanks!
