So we book 6 nights at the "Good Nite Inn Buena Park " Oct the 2nd to the 8th. I know its a ways from DL and with in a mile from KBF.
So I wanted to get feel for the area, good, bad, not so bad, not so good? :confused3. Restaurants, stores, is it a area with choices, does ART go there?. I know Its not the DLR, and that's OK, it fit our budget perfectly with our last minute trip decision. My biggest concern was the AC and comfy bed, and the AC!:rotfl2:, i am from Seattle, i sleep in a refrigerator:worship:, so i like a cool room. The most common thing/complaint i read about was the bug Issue among the Hotel/Motels including the place we are staying ,with In the DL area. I don't think i read one review that did not point out bug in Issues a single place there, Regardless on how much you pay a night. So we live with the bugs, if I was going to pay for a motel i might try to find the best price out there, and this was the winner. So any one stay here?. Thanks for any feed back, we are so excited:cool1:

You have to keep in mind that some people see one little spider and complain online like there's an infestation.

Stay closer to DLR. It's the convenience factor that is essential for a DLR trip. It makes it easier for getting there early, easier to take midday breaks/naps/swims, and it's right there at the end of the day when you're tired and don't really want to drive back or take a long shuttle.

You have a handful of hotel/motels that are within a 5 min walking distance from the parks, and a significant more within 10 min, and even more that are close that are connected via Anaheim Resort Transit (ART). If you're mainly going to be at DLR, stay close to DLR.

For every 1 person who complains about a bug problem at a hotel there are thousands of guests who don't experience it.

The distant is not a issue we have a car, and we are staying at the the parks for most of the whole day. Now If the park stay open every night until midnight that would be a different story, then a break to go back to the room like at WDW. But they do not open until 9/10 and close on none MNSSHP nights during the week at 8pm. We have only a four day park hopper. First night we have MNSSHP the 2nd of Oct and we are going to use one of our days to go early, the 3rd we are at the park all day, our 2nd day, but its only open until 8pm so we will not need to go back to the room. The 4th where at KBF all day, and we will stay there for farm scare. The 5th we are going down to San Diego zoo, and then see Fankenweenie at the AMC at DTD The 6th Saturday our 3rd day, we will be at DL the whole day, now there we might take a break to go back to the room it might be the only time, its schedule to stay open until 12. Sunday the 7th we are doing universal and Universal horror nights, so again all day at the park. Monday the 8th, we check out and spend the day, our last day and are 4th day use of our park hopper at DL until we leave for LAX. Plus when we got out MNSSHP ticket it came with free parking , so we might just have to pay for parking for three of the four days at DL.

If I had more time I would of flip the bill to stay at like HJO or main gate Ramada but they where both sold out even if i could of afford it at the time. Candy cane inn, alpine Inn what we would pay there we can go to KBF and San Diego zoo. So at the end of day would it be nice to stay at a close place ya!, but its not that big of a deal. Just as long as we can get a comfy sleep we are good, and we are so tired you can have a herd of elephants marching out in front of the door and we would never hear it!, so noise is never a question LOL.

Though we don't stay at that specific hotel, we do stay in Buena Park when we go to Disneyland. Don't let people deter you away by saying it's not close enough to the parks. We too drive and get free parking through AAA. It takes us 5 minutes to get from our hotel to the parking structure, not an issue at all. We get far more for our money than we do any hotel in Anaheim.

The wife and I stayed at the Marriott in Buena Park in june and honestly even with the increased carsland opening weekend traffic making the parking structure a bit of an adventure at night, it never took us more then 10 minutes to get to and from the park. If you have free parking it's really not a bad option.

with the free parking coupon I am hoping we can park early then the 3pm entrance into the DL park. It says on the ticket you can enter the park as early as 3pm for MNSSHP. We are going to use one of our days to go to CA after we get In to Anaheim(our flight gets In to LAX at 8:30am), so probably sometime around 11am(after we make a soda and breakfast snacks pit stop for the room at walmart and stop by the motel let them know we are there, try to check in, maybe pick up our room key, if they let us) so i am hopeing that they will let us park a few hours early?. I have been debating this day the most, what to do after we land??. I have email Disney to see if they will allow us to park early.
