Back in June I found a lump in my right breast (are you ready for along story now). Saw the gyn who sent me for a mamogram which showed nothing. Gyn sent me to a surgeon (who actually has office hours at the Gyn's office once a week). Surgeon was very nice -- I really liked her. She felt it and had me go for an ultrasound. Ultrasound showed nothing. So she wanted to see me in a few months -- which was yesterday. This was my first experience in her office and I can't tell you what a positive experience it was. The office personnel was right on the ball, the office waiting area was comfortable, I didn't have to wait long at all, the doctor was friendly as was the nurse with her. She did another ultrasound which still showed nothing, so she thinks it is just "me". But she does want to see me again in May.
Not that I ever want to be cut open, but I do have to say this was one of the most positive experiences I've had with a doctor and office staff.
AND, since I mentioned again to the doctor how my husband and I are trying to adopt SHE is going to call another doctor she works with (Radiological Oncologist) because she thinks his wife might have some contacts. Even if this person doesn't I can't believe how over and above this woman has gone with me.
So if you're in North NJ and ever need to see a breast surgeon, I've got a name for you!
And...(continuing the long post)...ladies don't forget to do those breast exams.

) It is hard to find many Doc's these days who haven't placed themselves next to the Pope. Glad to hear you had good news and thanks again for the reminder.
