Good Kid Friendly Resort Close to Sea World

Looking for a good kid friendly resort near Sea World. Is the water heated in Aquatica? We are looking to go between Christmas and New Years. Thanks for any info.

If you'd like villa accommodations (like a 2 bed, 2 bath unit),there are 3 Marriott Properties and 1 Hilton Vacation Club property near Sea World. These are: Marriott Horizons (great kiddie pool area), Marriott Cypress Harbour and Marriott Grande Vista. Also nearby is the Hilton Grand Vacations Club Sea World and the Vistana Villages. I highly recommend all of these properties, as they all have great pool areas for the kids, plus children's activities and other amenities. If you're looking for a regular hotel and/or lower price, Marriott just opened (or is about to open) 2 new properties at Sea World: Springhill Suites Sea World and Fairfield Inn Sea World. Have a great trip!

We have stayed at the Marriott Grande Vista and Sheraton Vistana Villages, both are very very nice and kid-friendly, playgrounds, nice pools, fountains for kids. The grand vista has a water park type pool for kids with fountains and spray things. There is a kids club for age 5 and up with all kinds of activities throughout the day and family activities at night (luau show, bonfire and story telling, ice cream socials, live bands by the pool). If you can get a good rate try one of those. Aquatica is heated and stays open I believe through September/October.

Hands down to Marriott Harbour Lake (used to be called Horizons by Marriott). This place does kids really well. So well that my kids voted for less time in the theme parks and more time hanging out by the pool, playing in the water park, playing mini golf, going to the fun kids club, shooting basketballs, playing ping pong - you get the idea.

Both pools are zero entry, one has a pirate ship play area and one has a twisty water slide (need to be 42" to ride).

The resort was further from Disney but very close to SeaWorld. Rooms are of varying sizes but we had the dedicated 2 bedroom/2 bathroom version. The resort was small enough that we could let the kids roam around on their own; it was completely safe. They are highly rated on Tripadvisor, number 2 in all of Orlando.
