Good Job CM's!

I wasn't complaining about the cost of day tickets. Just explaining that many people have no idea on their first visits the ticket pricing structure among other things. Regarding TSMM, in the past many may have ridden it without FP, but now it is extremely impractical. However, some days there is no SB line. Also, there is a several hour wait for SB just about every time I have visited.

I have to laugh at people who are so in love with Disney that they can see nothing wrong nor room for improvement. I still very much enjoy HS, but ignoring the fact that they have closed a great deal of the park with nothing to replace it saddens me. I really hope they have something big planned, but the longer they go without announcement cause me to think they are doing an EPCOT pt.2. Close attractions without replacing them and charge more.

Can you honestly disagree with the fact that we are paying more and getting less?

To the original post, I still disagree with the actions but can understand the frustration. Disney apologists notwithstanding.

Disney's prices are posted at each of the ticket windows. I have to laugh at people who claim that people have no idea. If they have "no idea", it isn't for Disney's lack of publishing their admission prices.

And your argument wasn't paying more and getting less. I personally do not like the price increases, but that was irrelevant to whom you quoted and essentially told were wrong. They weren't. You Responsed to someone who said after the 4th day, the additional days cost very little. Widely known fact and Disney's pricing structure for YEARS.

Responding to you with a fact does not make one an apologist. It does expose the weakness of your claims.

Oh--and on DHS--I remember when it was a functioning studio and totally miss the lack of live productions. I was a television production major and a group of us were able to secure a backstage production tour with a fellow student who was an intern there. While I am saddened at how it all turned out, it was some what behind Disney's control and an industry issue. I miss a number of things that were present at its inception but are no more.

And changes are coming, that is a good thing. They have actually announced but are refraining on details as we await the next Star Wars sequel from which some of the storyline will be integrated I personally would not waste a single day admission at DHS in its current state.

But curiously--you didn't inquire of any of my opinion of the park. You jumped immediately to name calling which further weakens any point you make. Again, pointing out where you went wrong and your claim that people "have no idea" does not an apologist make.

Yeah... I don't even bother with DHS. I didn't even before all the construction started. I like ToT, One Man's Dream, and Fantasmic, but I really couldn't care less about the rest of the park. So I never even consider it when talking about park visits. Lol.

it is very bad behavior for sure but Disney has to take some responsibility for charging $90+ a day to go to a park only to find out you can only get on 4 rides......

So what you're saying is any time a consumer feels they're getting less than optimal value from a business, it's okay to steal or cheat?

The movie you want to see is only 96 minutes long instead of 150 minutes - so it's okay to, say, hide in the bathroom then sneak into a second movie?

The cake mix you always bought was always an 18 ounce box, but now it's only 16 ounces so it's okay to take an extra box and not pay for it?

Consumers who feel the value or return on investment is poor would be best served by finding alternatives - not by blaming the business.

Riding TSMM without a FastPass is as practical or impractical now as it's been since the attraction opened.

A single three- or four-day test with no standby option is just that - a test. It's not "some days there is no SB line".

I have to shake my head - not laugh - people who believe correcting misconceptions equals being so in love with...

The Epcot2 comment confuses me. One unsponsored pavilion and one "extra" non-ride non-show feature are closed :confused3

We're payinv more, but that's true of everything except - at the moment - gasoline. No, I don't agree we're getting less, but if we are that's true of many consumer products.

Exactly. It is pretty pathetic to blame the victim, even when the victim is a giant company.

The actions observed by the OP weren't born of frustration. They were intentional attempts by entitled people to get away with something. Glad the CMs stopped them in their tracks.

(By the way, I thought people were only allowed on three rides since the start of FP+. ;) )

Heck, no! You should check mesaboy's FP+ thread for great information, but - you can get three in advance at one park, after they're used or expired you can get another, one at a time, at kiosks throughout the park. Depending what's left, of course :).

Getting back the the OP, we saw the other side of the coin. Going into star tours, there were three CM outside, they were helping a guest with something. Family in front of us, goes up to FP, scans band, about half of the group turns blue, keeps going. CM don't even notice. But DH did and was annoyed. I say don't worry, the next gate will get them. Uhhhh NOPE. The get to the top, scan bands, half of them turn blue, keeps walking, CM mumbles and then goes click click on keyboard and they just got an extra FP+. Hmmm, I bet this famlly now has 6 FP+ per day instead of three if they try this at every ride.

At Soaring, during the paper fast pass days, we saw a group of about 10, they were in early 20's. The had some valid FP+, and some of the ones that say not valid. The put the valid ones on top, spread them out like a deck of cards. First CM, waves them thru. Second CM waves them thru and then starts to count the FPs. Sees that half of them say NOT VALID, turns and looks at them, but doesn't do anything.

And we feel cheated because we follow the rules.
