Good idea? PS at LTT on MNSSHP Night

Okay, that's a lot of letters, but let's spell it out.

We have preferred seating at the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner on the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party night. Our seating is at 7:05. Should we just cancel this and just get something prior to going to the park? We'll be spending the day at Epcot, so this wouldn't be a problem.

Oh, and we've NEVER been to WDW before, and we've got two kids that are going to be really, really excited!

One more thing, I'd read that the characters aren't necessarily at the Liberty Tree Tavern after 7:00. Is this true? If so, my thought is that it really wouldn't be worth it.

I'd make it earlier then 7:00. WE have a ressie aaat LTT for 5:30- that's before the MNSHHP starts- but we won't have to leave the park- so we can actually be in the park before the official start of the party. Do you really want to be eating while all this other one night a week stuff is going on? Try to reschedule for an earlier time. If you're at EPCOT that day- you will not be able to get into the MK until the park re-opens for the party- but, if you're in MAgic Kingdom when it closes- I don't think you have to leave- gives you some extra time- and maybe alittle bit of advantage when it comes to picture taking!

That PS is really too late. You will miss at least a hour of the party.

I think the only time it's worth eating at MK before the party is if the PS is early enough to be done right before 7:00p when the party starts.

You could always wait till the 60 day mark and book either Crystal Palace or the Castle from between 5:00 and 6:00 instead. Or you could eat at one of the monorail resort and be done early enough to head on over to MK so you don't miss any of the party.

Good luck!

I would also suggest trying to get an earlier PS! Since its your first time going, you don't want to miss any of the party!! It will probably take at least an hour to eat, if you get seated right away. The characters should be there!!!!

You could try to get Crystal Palace (which is also a character meal)or the Castle at the 60 day mark. On our first time attending the Mickey Christmas party, we had eaten at the Grand Floridian and when we tried to board the monorail, it was PACKED!!! We barely squeezed on, and many people waiting did not get on. So allow some extra time to get to the party if you are eating outside of the MK - or try Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary and walk over!!

Which night will you be attending the Halloween party? We'll be there on Oct 14 - already got my tickets and a 5:15 PS for LTT!!! We may go again on Oct 16!!

I AGREE!

Although we have never done MNSSHP everyone has advised us to get a 6:00 PM OR EARLIER PS for LTT.

One night we have a 5:10 and the next a 6:00 PM and I am a little nervous about the 6:00. I may cancel if I can not get anything any earlier.

I just can not justify spending all that money on the party and missing part of it because I am sitting down to a dinner that is also costing me quite a bit!

I think I would also try for an earlier dinner inside the MK!

7:05 was the earliest available. I think I'll wait until the 60 day mark and see if we can get Crystal Palace or an earlier seating. If not, we'll plan on a very late lunch and snack at the party. Thanks for your help!!!!!!

We're going on the 5th as well! How old are your kids? Mine will be turning 5 and 7, and we'll be with my sister and her husband, and their kids, ages 6 and 9.

We also decided to opt out of LTT dinner as we didn't want to have to eat in our costumes or bring to them to change into afterwards. We'll also be doing the "late lunch, snack at the party" thing :) There are so many snacks to try at MK anyway ;)

Wear a lime green ribbon to be recognised as a DISer :)

Laurie (who has searched for the elusive lime green ribbon for herself but hasn't been successful - who knew there was something Wal Mart doesn't have! I'm going to try Home Depot for some of those lime green Mickey heads!)

Hey!

We'll be at the LTT on the 5th @ 5:30!

I don't know if I'll have a green ribbon, but I will have my lime green/blue Kellogg's Lanyard w/ a home depot Mickey Head somewhere on it...

I'll be the Pale Blonde w/ Grumpy :)
If y'all spot us just say howdy!

FallDisney--
I bet if you call for ressies 60 days prior you'll get a great time at Crystal Palalce or the Castle :)

Our girls are 8 and 5, and I'll see about finding lime green ribbon. These boards have been a HUGE help for a first timer! I'll mark the 60 days using the PS Calculator and see what happens. Thanks again!!!!!

(Still trying to convince the 8 year old to dress up.)

I just called the WDW-DINE number and asked about reservations for LTT on that night and got them. Must be in who answers the phone.

I could be mistaken, Unclescroogefan, but I believe only those with MNSSHP tickets can get PS now as no one else will be allowed to stay in the park after it closes at 6pm. Did you tell the CM that you had tickets? If not, maybe that's why they wouldn't let you make the PS. They are supposed to make PS for MNSSHP ticket holders. However, I think I've read that many nights are already booked up :( I hope you can still get the PS you want.

FallDisney, my 5 yr old will be Cinderella and the 7 yr old will be Ariel in her wedding gown. I was disappointed in 7 yr old's choice, as it doesn't look like Ariel - it just looks like a wedding gown, but that's what she wants  and the costumes are going to be birthday presents from their grandmother, so she's making what they said they wanted (I was hoping she would pick Belle's yellow gown - that is so gorgeous!) But MIL is an expert seamstress so I'm sure whatever she makes them will be gorgeous :)

My 6 yr old niece doesn't care about princesses at all! The characters she most wants to meet are Pluto and Goofy! I have no idea what she and her brother have chosen for costumes. I do know the 4 of us adults will be going as Disney tourists :p

Laurie :)

Thanks for the replys. I called WDW DINE last week and was told that I couldnt make any PS within the parks until 60 days before.I was able to make a PS for Chef Mickey only. When I ordered my tickets for MNSSHP they told me that the computer would only take PS from 9/21 and before.

Oh, but Epcot restaurant PS can be made 120 days in advance not 60! I have October PS for Le Cellier, Alfredo's, Marrakesh, Garden Grille, and the Princess Storybook breakfast in Norway :)

Laurie...who made herself hungry just typing those out!

Im all excited. We received our MNSSHP tickets yesterday for 10/26. Along with it came a list of things, including info about LTT PS. I called, for the 3rd time, and was finally able to get a PS for that night. The earliest that we could get was for 7:30, but I figured it was better than not going at all. I would suggest that anyone else that wants PS for the night of their MNSSHP should call now.

7:30p is pretty late for dinner when going to the party as you'll miss at least a good hour and half of it. All the good times for LTT are taken (between 5:00 and 6:00) because most people booked it when the tickets first went on sale.

Another option is to wait till 60 days out and book Crystal Palace or the Castle for dinner at an earlier time OR maybe some LTT tables will open up that day because some LTT people are going to switch to Crystal Palace and the Castle then!

Good luck!
