Good Experience With USAir via PHL, 1/1 and 1/10

We connected through PHL on New Year's Day and returned on 1/10. Both legs of both flights were routine and on time. When we checked into the MCO Hyatt last night I asked the desk person if USAir was still flying and she laughed and said, 'They'll be alright, I just booked a March flight with them'.

Yay Bill! Glad everything went smoothly for you. I was thinking of you on New Year's Day. Wasn't making resolutions for the coming year . . . nope. . . wondering if Bill from PA made it to Florida! I have been watching your posts because I am supposed to fly US Air on 2/26 with 3 kids. Keeping my fingers crossed now that they will still be in business at the end of February for us. Glad you and yours got to Florida with no problems though. Hopefully, I will be able to come back and post the same in March.

so glad I have 5 free tickets and don't want to lose them I flew from PHL on dec 25 no problems left 20 minutes late but took an hour to find luggage it was all over the baggage area but we got it all

If you have 5 free tickets I would plan a trip on USAirways. I wouldn't want to be holding 5 tickets if they go under.

I am hoping that they will still be around but they have a lot of hurdles to jump so don't hold on to those tickets too long. I have 3 trips planned with my miles. If I lose some I won't feel too bad but I don't want to lose a lot.

US Air on Jan 29, with 4 out of our 5 tickets earned through DH's frequent flyer miles.

I hope they're still in business, but we also thought it was time to cash in!

Bill, I'm so happy you checked in and things went so smoothly. Maybe all that pixie dust helped just a little.

I agree with Safetymom concerning the tickets.

Angel1, I think you should be fine. At least you're able to get an early vacation out of it!

Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone. At first my only concern was for the weather but that got overshadowed by the USAir thing. Good luck to all with pending reservations.
