Good experience with reservations

A couple days ago I posted about a one day room only reservation not being available for AoA LM room on Thanksgiving, before my FD package started. I had tried several times to make this reservation online and called 3 or 4 times with no luck. I kept finding when I checked online the room was available for Thanksgiving but you needed to book it for 4 nights or greater. So there was rooms available, they just wouldn't give it to me. I was frustrated !!!!

I called today and got a CM that was not friendly or helpful. She told me I could not book the room and it was " not negotiable". I couldn't believe she used that term. Her excuse was that they don't want to many people checking in on the same day so the lobby isn't busy. (that didn't make sense in this situation, and I'm sure they don't want my money!) I asked to talk to her supervisor and see if they could help, and she told me she doesn't have a supervisor!! That really made me upset, she was not nice.

She finally told me about guest services and I talked to them. Got a very friendly CM. she looked at what was going on and told me that she would call me back in 10 mins. She called back in about 5 mins and got me my reservation for one night!!! I was pumped and very thankful!! Just wanted to share my good and bad experiences of the day!
 
Thanks for sharing. Very rarely have I spoken to an unpleasant CM. When booking this last vacation I did have a CM who did not want to apply my pin when I called to change my reservations, she acted like she "couldn't." I said thank you, hung up, called back two hours later, got a different CM who was more than happy to apply the pin and apologized for the other CM's behavior.

I run into those minimum stay requirements from time to time.

Usually, what I do, is book the stay. Then just call and have the dates modified to what I really need. The ONLY time it was a problem was when they had a discount where the codes corresponded to the number of nights of your stay (code 123 for 4 nights, code 456 for 5 nights, etc....)

Other than that, never had a problem modifying down the length of stay. :)
