Any recommendations of some good places to eat that is semi-close within driving distance? We always struggle finding something for dinner after the parks close on early nights and want to be better prepared this time.

Looking for non fast food, healthy or semi healthy food. The only meat I eat is organic chicken (but my family eats beef), and I don't do fried, white (flour, pasta, rice) or sugar. So it makes it kind of hard for me. But so as long as there is a salad, I'm good to go as far as a place.

Anything?

Thanks!

I like Joes Crab Shack (and so does my family), but we have only eaten at the Old Sac one. I am assuming they are similar.

As mentioned above, there are choices for you at GardenWalk (walkable from the parks, on Katella, east of Harbor): Cheesecake Factory (lots of salad choices), Roy's Hawaiian, McCormick and Schmicks, etc. Organic chicken isn't going to be easy to find in the resort area, but you might try Park Ave. in Stanton (they harvest from their own garden, so they take salad seriously) or The Ranch on Ball (at East). Thai Nakorn in Garden Grove has delicious food (order off the specials page!). OC Rotisserie Chicken (on Ball, east of State College) has good bahn mi and chicken curry. You might want to call to ask whether their chickens are organic. If you can drive to Newport Beach, try Great Maple Restaurant in the Fashion Island Mall (a very nice, outdoor mall). Their chicken is free range, but call to ask whether it is organic. The salads there are very good.

I like Fire & Ice, upstairs at GardenWalk.
Not sure about healthy and organic. You pick your ingredients and they cook it while you wait around a big circular bar type counter. There is a salad bar.

Thanks everyone on the suggestions! I think I might have to not be too picky on the chicken and eat non organic if necessary, and jus stick to all my other no no's. Last year I remember just eating salad after salad, which is fine, but it never sustained me with all the walking.

So excited! Can't wait!!

Now for the unhealthy, where's the best pizza? DH and dd love pizza :)

We ate at Pizza Press which is next to Camelot Inn and across from the main entrance to the esplanade. We loved their pizzas, salads, and desserts (tiramisu) so much that it was the only restaurant that we made a return visit within the week.

We saw several guys from Disneyland maintenance crew enjoying their pizzas there as well.

Our other two finds were the blueberry donuts at Mel's and Joe's Italian Ice. I'm still craving that badabing cherry. Mmm...mmm.

Hope this helps.

We really like Roy's Hawaiian. It's kinda spendy, but very good.
Very nice atmosphere and you get a very nice meal.
