My daughter and I will be having a girls only weekend in a couple of months and our plan is to head to DTD after arriving and checking in. Since we will be arriving late, we will have already had dinner. So I'm just looking for a good place for dessert that night. Any suggestions?

You might want to go to Brennan's Jazz Kitchen Express or the restaurant and get an order of beignets and bananas foster. Unique desserts that you can't get just anywhere. And Brennans invented Bananas Foster. and have a cup of Nawlins chicory coffee.

How about Marcelines?! Yummy candy goodness! Lots of chocolate things and apples, just tons of deliciousness all in one place, and yo get to see them make the goodies in their window! LOVE that place!!

I was going to suggest the Volcano or going to the Jazz Kitchen. They've both been suggested so I'll just second them. lol

You could also go to the Cheesecake Factory in the GW, they have some amazing cheesecakes!!

Oh, absolutely you MUST go to the Jazz Kitchen and get the double chocolate bread pudding!!! It's a great dessert for 2. I posted about it recently but will repeat what I said here.

First, it's not really bread pudding, it's a chocolate souffle with chocolate pieces baked into it.

Then, they bring it hot to the table along with a pot of hot chocolate ganache and one of white chocolate ganache. The server pours some of each into the center of the pudding.

They leave the remainder of the ganaches for you to dip into or pour over as you wish. It is the best dessert I've ever had!!!!

Keep in mind that you have to allow 25 minutes for it to be prepared.

OMG!! They all sound delicious!! I showed my daughter the video from the DLH. She was practically drooling!! But then the chocolate bread pudding sounds delightful too. Never heard of the Volcano at the Rainforest Cafe. I'll have to google that one. Thanks for all the help. I had no idea so much yummy goodness could be had in and around DTD. Thanks again!!

Oh wait...don't forget the Kitchen Sink Sundae at the PPH.....

Never heard of the Volcano at the Rainforest Cafe.

Oh it is SO good!
