There are quite a few ways to cut meal costs. Here are just a few suggestions for sit down restaurants that get us by, and we are filled up without being miserable.......
1. The Coral Reef: we order a salad and a bowl of lobster bisque; with the bread and butter that comes with it and maybe a split dessert (not often!) we're satisfied without being stuffed. Of course it's just DH and myself.
2. The Rose and Crown: we order their Walnut/Stilton salad (wonderful!) and an appetizer, usually either the Mushroom Medly or the Lamb Barley soup and maybe split a dessert (I enjoy the Lemon Posset).
3. Teppanyaki: we'll usually order one entree and split it. Last trip we did the shrimp and chicken entree..... and split a hazelnut mousse for dessert! (We are looking at trying the Yakatori House though, their menu looks interesting also!)
4. Le Cellier: we split a cup of cheese soup or a salad and usually have the salmon or the mushroom filet. And maybe a chocolate "Moose" or sorbet for dessert- unless DH is holding out for a beavertail or something.......
We've also split entrees at Flying Fish, Spoodles, Beaches and Cream, the Grand Floridian Cafe, the Concourse Steakhouse, Kona Cafe, you name it.... we've probably done it!!
I hope that this information helps.......
