I worked at PI during my College Program, Spring 2007. I definitely did NOT like working there, but I loved PI itself and the people I worked with...and ESPECIALLY the adventurer's club! I hope that they turn it into a restaurant or store, and don't tear it down!

I guess the Disney people were right...Pleasure Island really isn't popular any more! I seem to be the only one who cares that it's closing!

I'm sad too, though I think Disney "destroyed" it the way they made it all open. I liked it MUCH better when it really was like an "adults" island of clubs and comedy,etc.

Where are they doing fireworks on NYE? My sister has reservations at SSR because she wanted to be able to walk to PI and party (as she's done for the last 5 yrs.)

I'm really sad about it. We're DINKs and have really enjoyed going there on our trips. I really enjoyed the Adventurers Club and was planning on going next month. Now I don't know what we will do instead. Jellyrolls I guess.

I just got back, just ran over after work to catch the New Years Eve show.

The place was mobbed! 20 minute wait to get a drink on the street and the line for EVERY club was at least 30 minutes!

They had Frankie and the West End Boys, and a Fireworks show that had to cost a good chunk of change! They blew giant shells over Lake Buena Vista and the show lasted a good 20 minutes.

I rarely go out, and the club scene is not for me, but I must admit, it was a rather sad evening!

No, by the time I got there they had stopped selling wristbands to the clubs.

Just a stunt by Disney to make people want to come and see the new renovated area even more! Yes things will change but they will update and then have another GRAND OPENING....the YEAR OF THE ISLAND or some other such thing.

I have only been to the Comedy Warehouse Club - it seems that this and the Adventurers Club were both pretty popular - I don't understand why these two could not stay open - (we were not much into the PI scene).

I for one will definitely miss PI. My friends and I just went a couple weeks ago, we all got babysitters for the kids and had a great night!!! Thanks for the video, Mike!

It has actually gotten to be one of my favorite parts of Disney after I was old enough to go there....I'll miss it.

I have so many memories of PI and it's sad to see it go. When I was there a few weeks ago, it seemed pretty busy, although nothing like back in the day

I did 2 CP's (99 and 01) and we would go OFTEN It was a great place to go and was ALWAYS busy. We used to wait in line for most clubs.

Then the turnstiles went away. It will be missed and I am not even interested in it's "replacement"
