I am not sure where to post this, but I was wondering are there any good bars to hang out at and have a few cocktails? Where do you recommend at hotels?Pleasure island? and/or Boardwalk?

I highly reccomend the baR at the Polynesian, and actually the bar at the RAINFOREST CAFE at downtown disney, the drinks get pricey but, if you plan on it have a couple in your room before you head out... drinks can be any where from like 7-12 dollars a cup. have fun

One of our favourite places to chill with a beer in the evenings is the outside seating area at House of Blues. Great spot to people watch, and they have very good live entertainment. :drinking1 :rockband:

I agree!!! HOB makes some wild mixed drinks too...but just like anywhere in the world it can get pretty pricey! :)

The Rose & Crown in Epcot for mixed drinks or European brews, the ESPN Club if sports interest you and the Big River Brew Co. on the BW, preferably the outside area.

I guess it just depends on what you are looking for! Atmosphere, view, specific drinks?

We like the lounge at Poly, but it can get too crowded with people waiting for O'Hana ADRs. DH enjoyed spending a little time at the Outer Rim at the Cont. while the girls and I would get ready for the evenings, but it is right beside of Chef Mickey's and can be loud.

"Drinking around the World" is popular. Walking around WS and having a drink in the different countries. I can't git every country but it is fun to enjoy a drink in a country (or 4!).

I personally enjoy sitting by our resort pool and having a few beers! This is really nice when we stay at the Poly, beautiful surroundings, gorgeous WDW views, and watching my girls swimming in the pool! A little piece of Heaven :cloud9:

I haven't been there but many rave over Bob Jackson performing at the lounge at Port Orleans.

Jellyrolls and the adventures club are so much fun!! if your looking for something more relaxing, hang out at your resorts pool and have a few at the pool's bar.

This sounds like a question for vettechick!!! Have you read her trip reports:)????

If you like jazz, and don't mind going to Universal. City walk has a live jazz club called CityJazz. It's a laid back atmosphere with some great live jazz acts nightly.

I definitely recommend Jellyrolls-- what a fun place!!! (At the boardwalk)

We enjoy relaxing at the Crew's Cup Lounge located inside of the YC next to the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

The Adventurers Club is great if you have several people.....Bob Jackson is great at POR.....the earlier set tends to have families with younger children, however, if you wait until 9:45 or 10:00 p.m. most family groups have left and it's more adults. As Bob says "Nobody has more fun than us". Also, for a quieter evening Territory Lounge at WL is nice.

If you like Jazz, you don't have to leave Disney property. Get thee over to POFQ and Scat Cat's Lounge to see Eliot Dyson. He performs 8:00-12:00 (I don't know which evenings he might be off, but I know he's there Friday and Saturday). He used to perform at the Pleasure Island Jazz Company. He mostly plays the sax, but he has a wide variety of instruments and he sings as well. The bar menu is not only pretty complete, but there's a menu, which describes the specialty drinks.

Who knew-so many drining places so little time!
Thanks. I usually go w/ the kids, so I don't tend to hang out in bar areas. This is a great resource!

Territory Lounge at WL and Victoria Falls at AKL are both nice for a quiet drink and conversation.

Jellyrolls is super fun but very smoky. I only manage to last an hour or so before the smoke gets to me and I have to leave.

At Pleasure Island, Adventurers Club is our favorite. Kungaloosh!

And drinking around (or, rather, partway around!) the world at Epcot is always fun! I especially like the kir royales at France.

Bob Jackson is very entertaining, and if you have kiddos w/ you then you'll have that much more fun! He does a great job of enteraining the kids as well as the adults, and mom and pop get to drink the entire time :drinking1 What more could you ask for?

If you have time w/ out the kids then go to PI and walk around to all the different clubs and bars. You don't have to pay to walk around anymore, only if you want to go inside some places, and the best part is you can order drinks from little stands all around w/ out even stepping foot into a club. We kept going back to the same stand and tipping well, worked out great for us

I am surprised at the smoke in Jellyrolls. I have gotten used to the "No Smoking" rules here in New York.

We just might do a PI wlak around. That sounds good.
How much are the clubs? Do thye have a 2 day pass?

From Mousesavers.com

"Pleasure Island allows guests to walk through during evening operations without purchasing admission. Anyone can enjoy Pleasure Island shops, restaurants, West End Stage entertainment and the nightly midnight "New Year's Eve" fireworks display at no charge.

However, admission is required for entry into any of the Pleasure Island nightclubs. (Also, you must be 18 or older to enter BET Soundstage, Mannequins or Motion.) There are now two forms of admission:

The Multi-Club Ticket gives you the opportunity to "club hop" all night for one admission fee.
The Single-Club Ticket provides one night's admission to one club at Pleasure Island. Choose from BET Soundstage, 8TRAX, Mannequins, Motion or Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club. This ticket may not be used for admission to Adventurer's Club or Comedy Warehouse. You can only purchase the Single-Club Ticket at Pleasure Island or Downtown Disney Guest Services.
For most people, the Multi-Club Tickets are by far the best deal, particularly since they give you admission to the not-to-be-missed Adventurer's Club. I suspect Single-Club Tickets will primarily appeal to locals who just want to go out dancing one night with friends."

Prices are:

Pleasure Island

Multi-Club Ticket - $22.32
Provides one night's admission to all clubs at Pleasure Island.

Single-Club Ticket - $10.60
Provides one night's admission to one club at Pleasure Island. Choose from BET Soundstage, 8TRAX, Mannequins, Motion or Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club. This ticket may not be used for admission to The Adventurer's Club or Comedy Warehouse. You can only purchase the Single-Club Ticket at Pleasure Island or Downtown Disney Guest Services.

All of this was on Mousesavers.com, you should check it out cause there are also tips on getting discounted tickets for PI too!

Me, too. For some reason I thought it would be smoke-free. I was planning on an evening here with DH because it sounds like so much fun. I guess we will have to go elsewhere. :(
