I booked my airline tickets last week from PHL to MCO-$176.20 pp for 7/9/04 to 7/17/04 PM flights. Today I found through Sidestep.com that Orbitz has the same flights for $152.00 pp. I tried to get a credit (the flights are through United but the actual flights are US airways flights) but I was told that United can not match prices from other websites. But if anyone is looking for reasonable fares these are better than I have seen in the last month or two. They have differnet times also for the same price-can't say about different dates but you might want to check if you've been looking for reasonable fares out of PHL.

Southwest has a promo right now for PHL to MCO for $49 each way!!! I was tempted to take an unexpected trip but finances just won't allow it right now. I always check with the airlines directly and have found much better deals than trying to go through Expedia, Travelocity or Obitz.

I was on US Air's site a couple of weeks ago checking a fare to San Francisco for Sept - Oct, and saw that they were running specials to FLA, to compete with Southwest. I called me friend who lives near WDW (works there too) and made sure I could stay with her, then booked a flight on US Air for $116.70 r/t. Southwest was offering the same price, but US Air's times were better for me. I guess if I had waited, I would have saved $20. Oh well! Going June 9 - 16.

I saw the southwest specials but there was no availability for my dates and times-have to work the Friday we're leaving and live an hour from the airport so needed a late flight. Also wanted to make the most of our last day down there so choose a late flight out. Unfortunately the Southwest flights that had availablity were the early flights -like 6:30 am.

I personally wouldn't mention I saw it on another website....just that I saw it....possibly on their website. I'm confused are you booked thru USAir or United. I know USAir runs some of Uniteds flights out of Philly...but with whom did you book?

Did the $152 price include Orbitz's booking fees? Chances are even if you had booked with them, you'd have paid the same amount. Also, I recall being mad at Orbitz bc the price they displayed was not the full price, you only saw the price with the taxes & fees once you booked. I don't know if this has changed, but just FYI in case.
