I've decided that for our November trip, that my DS (16yo, 14 Hdcp) and I are going to play a round of golf while at WDW.

Based on my knowledge and reviewing info available on the web, I do not believe that I can make a bad choice between the five 18 hole courses.

If you are a golfer, and you were going to golf, which of the courses would you play? Note: The price difference between the 5 courses is not of concern.

Played Osprey two weeks ago and it is beautiful. You can't see one part of WDW or any building actually after the first hole. This course is ridicuously challenging, especially for me (35 handicap), the rough was short was harder to hit out of than any tall rough I've ever played it. It was much easier to hit out of the bunkers. Saw deer, lizards, rabbits, armadillos all over the course.

By far the best and most challenging course at WDW. Even if you stink the place up with your score you will still have a great time.

My husband has played Magnolia, Eagle, Osprey and LBV. He loves them all, for different reasons. He has not played the Palm, but hoping to this fall when we go back. He likes Eagle Pines the best, but there's a lot of water on it (so says his faulty memory... his excuse as a reason to go back...)

They quite often has a 'Two for One' special - pay one price, book two tee times. When you pay for the first round, save your receipt for your second tee time and you can golf it for free. It's a great deal.

I've played them all except the Palm (which I will be playing in November). I like them all except Lake Buena Vista. I don't like LBV because it's surrounded by a resort (Old Key West I think). One snap hook and you could hear a crach.

He would like Magnolia if he wants to play the course the pros play for the tounament. It's the one on TV.

I loved Eagle Pines and Osprey Ridge. They were designed by big-time golf course architects. Eagle Pines is a Pete Dye course with lots of water. It's not so hard, but it is a little intimidating. Pete Dye loves to toy with your mind. Osprey Ridge is a Tom Fazio course. It's a little tougher, but it is a great test of golf. It has his signature wide fairways with huge sand traps.

My personal favorite is Eagle Pines, but if he's only playing one course, he has to play Magnolia. It's the Disney course. It has the Mickey Mouse sand trap.

I am golfing a course for the first time in Dec. Please let us know how which you golf at and how you like it :)

I have played them all many times and probably enjoy Osprey the best. To me, it is the most beautiful of all the courses. However, if you like to play like the pros, you will like the Magnolia and Palm courses which are used for the PGA Tour Funai Classic. In fact, this year I will be one of the lucky amateurs to be playing with the pros during the Classic. Wish me luck....

Thank you to everyone for their input!

glo - I'll send you an email after we get back. We return on Nov 26th. It may make it a little tight for you to make a tee-time in advance.

I'll gladly accept anymore thoughts/opinions! Keep em' coming.

I played Magnolia, Osprey, and Eagle in August. Last year I played LBV. I went out on the earliest tee times so that I could get a full day in. The Mickey shaped bunker is on the Magnolia course there were lots of bugs in the morning. Depending on your skill level, I think Osprey is very nice. Eagle second, Magnolia, and LBV. Be prepared for at least 4.5-5 hour rounds. And if you are not very good, buy lots of balls.

Agree with most other posters, if I could only play one, it would have to be Osprey Ridge :)
