Golf Carts

1st time FW camper here! Hello fellow campers! I was thinking of borrowing my neighbors electric golf cart for our long weekend trip to the Fort May 18-21. My concern was safety. I'm guessing we might would use it to get from the RV to the Boat dock or Bus station to go to the parks...will it be safe parked there all day? Since its not mine I am worried???

Yes, it will be safe parked there all day. I mean, don't leave the keys in it and leave it running, then I can't say what will happen...lol.

But I would not worry at all about someone trying to take it, the parking lots are small and in very public places, and I've never even heard of someone's golf cart being stolen (not that it's never happened, just never heard of it).

P.S. Enjoy the Fort! You're going to love it, especially have the cart to take you to the marina, nothing like an early morning ride to get you excited!

Fine lookin' golf cart but sorry to see someone sprayed it with some blue, green, and orange grafitti!

So sad....:guilty: I hope the police can find out who did it.

Haha :rotfl2: - only 135 more days till college football kicks off :cool1:

Bama ED

PS-Alabama has their spring football game tomorrow and they're expecting 70,000+ to show up. RTR!

Gator Dad,

Love the cart! I am planning on getting my cart painted in the next couple of weeks. I have always been a "fan" of the older logo with the gator. I also am partial to our old Aubie logo, so we put it on the RV. Thanks for posting it!

THANK YOU, I'm glad somebody else here knows what the correct blue and orange colors are supposed to be :cool1:

While I didn't actually go there, I've got two brothers, two SILs, and a couple of cousins to all say WAR EAGLE! with.

Please tell your relatives WAR EAGLE for me!

That might look nice with some #48 stickers on it !

Are those big knobby tires for the bad weather in the winter ? :lmao:

We bandied about 3 color schemes, the Gators, Yankees and Tony Stewart. The only thing was, that the bodies didn't come in orange, and they didn't come in navy blue, hence the Gators.

The tires, are for the rough winters here in Tampa, correct. sometimes it rains, and we have to drive thru puddles to get more beer.

"puddles" how do you suffer through the indignities !
You folks in Florida are a tough bunch :thumbsup2

I could have gone for the #20 also, love him or hate him, you always know whats on his mind.

that's true..... I like Stewart for his honesty. The guy that did my cart is working on an Eardhart one in the near future.

My wife and I were also in the market for a new custom cart to replace the one we have. We checked out that website customcartshop.com and called them and they were very quick to help us out. We are in the process of completing our order with them. I can't wait to get our new cart!
Thanks again for the tip.

In answer to the question about outside rental of golf carts: We rented from a company called Golf and Electric Vehicles. They charge $225 per week and $450 per month. It made sense for us because we were staying for 32 nights. It probably does not make sense for a week.

The cart was driven to our site and picked up there by Steve Senesi. You can reach him at 1-800-874-6206. The cart was not new, but it was similar to the ones from the bike barn and it did the job for a month.

Isn't Disney getting about $50.00 a day for the carts?:confused3 If they are and the weekly rental from off site is $225.00...it seems like you can save a few bucks, and probably a good idea.;) even on a weekly 7 day rental.

I am the golf cart man LOL!!! If anyone needs tech help with thier cart drop me a line I would be glad to help.

A few more!!!!
