We're going to be at the Camp for 10 days under the Premium Plan package. It seems like everything else at the parks is included under this plan, jet skis, boats, tours, horses etc. The woman at the resort reservations desk said that the carts were included under the plan, but the Bike Barn guy at first didn't know, and then came back on the phone and said no.

Given the difference in opinion, I thought I'd post here and see if anyone has stayed at the Campground under the package plans and had the carts included or had to pay separately.

Definitely not covered under any package, sorry.

Any particular reason you're staying at the Fort on the premium plan? I've done both premium and platinum and it's far better/easier if you stay at one of the deluxes. Room service is included in the plan, and it's just plain easier to get around from a monorail hotel.

If you want to take full advantage of all that's offered, being able to move around quickly is the way to go - and that includes having room service pre-ordered so you can get out early if you plan on doing the tours.

We were originally booked at one of the resort hotels, however, we have also been shopping for an RV for some time due to the hassles of finding dog and house sitters. The perfect deal landed in our lap and we pounced on it several weeks ago.

We started wondering what kind of savings could be had if we took the dogs and the RV on the trip and it was more than significant by the time you added up the airfare, lower resort price, no fees for house sitter etc. So we figured why not? I've been many times and always stayed in the resorts so this will be a new adventure and a new way to experience Disney.

Congratulations!

I'm wondering if just getting a room with a dining plan , even the deluxe dining plan, might not be more worth it for you.

While all the inclusions are great, you're not going to get the best bang for your package buck unless you make plans for everything you possibly can - tours, boat rentals, Circque, parasailing, etc. Like I said, room service is a big help, and you can't get it at the Fort.

In all honestly, we really haven't done a package in a few year since we realized we were running around all the time and just decided to pay out of pocket for the things we wanted to do.

As well, the Fort is such a great place, you may not want to leave, or at least spend more time enjoying it. I used to be a deluxe hotel snob, and quite honestly, have been staying in the cabins more and more lately. We enjoy the ambiance and the extra space - it's like having your own little house in the middle of the magic.
