Golf cart prices aren't that out of line

We just got back from camping at a Yogi Bear campground here in Wisconsin. First thing DH and DS did was check out the golf cart rentals they had. The going rate was $45.00 a 24 hour period. I guess FW isn't that out of line. I actually thought a lot of the things they sold were more expensive than FW. It is bad when you see something and say "it wouldn't even be that much at FW"

I experience this all the time. Went to see Disney on Ice yesterday and was charged $7 for a box of popcorn. Paid $5 for a pretzel at the zoo, half the size of a WDW $3 pretzel. I have found that Disney is not as expensive as some people complain that it is.

I agree. We just got back from a KOA and they had golfcart rental for $44 a day and you had to turn it in at 8:00pm AND they didn't have the back seat so you could only fit 2 adults or 1 adult and two small kids!! They don't allow personal goft carts either.

I have noticed this to. I cheked out some of the campground rates around here and found that FW rate was not to bad specialy when you factor in the transportation.

You know I always wondered what other prices were, and this actually makes the price not even seem that bad anymore. It's still a lot, but at least it's not being marked up in a much larger fashion than other places.

We looked last year at one of the campgrounds near Gettysburg and the price was about the same as FW

We camp at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach and the summer rate is $46 a day. It does drop after Labor Day to $34 and then again in November to $14.

Really, was the place nice? :rotfl2:

I still think it is high. Does that mean that gas prices are not really high because both stations at the corner are charging $3.25?

I never thought FW was that bad (Been going occasionally since 1980 which I'm sure my parents paid maybe 50 cents a night :rotfl2: ..okay not that cheap!)

My hubby on the other hand keeps comparing it to state park campgrounds and such.....then I have to point out how much better the amenities at FW are.

No doubt that its a lot of money. It comes down to what its worth to each family.
I cant imagine what the maintenance and repair must be like on that fleet, I have seen some things done to those carts that really shocked me.

I swear I only went offroad once. Ok, maybe twice. Ahh screw it, they need a 4x4 version ;)

High is high to me and when you compare the cost of a golf cart and what you get to renting a car and what you get, it REALLY seems ridiculously over-charged. With coupons and codes, you can get a car for alot cheaper than a golf cart. i know they're not nearly as much fun though! ;)

Yes, considering a top of the line cart is about 5g's, they make their investment back in 1/2 year.

Oh no doubt the price is still high, I think everyone feels that way. But at least it's not like all the other places are charging 20 bucks a day, it makes you feel better at least a little bit, come on, you know it does! ;)

it made me feel so good, i went and bought mine.

And then ruined it with the Florida Gator paint scheme!!! ;)

P.S. Just kidding, although I do hate the Gators, I do love what you did with the cart :)
