Golf cart pickup question

Okay, I need help figuring something out. We are due to land in MCO at 5:30 or so. Therefore, I'm pretty sure we'll miss the window to pick up our golf cart. I want to go ahead and get it on arrival day so we can use it on our first full day. The good news is that my dad and step-mom will already be there and could get it for me. (They are in a trailer, we are in a cabin.) However, in looking at my notes it says I need to bring my credit card I used to confirm the reservation and my ID. The card we could do, but obviously I'll need my ID to fly. If I call ahead of time, do you think they will let someone else pick up for me? I really want to pay for it with my card rather than changing the reservation to where they would have to pay for it.

I've never done that before, but give them a ring I'm sure they will help you out.
 
This can't be the first time that's happened. Post back with the resolution.
 
Won't work... We had similar issue in 2005 with our cabins trip.

The in laws got there before my family did. They tried to get the cart for us as we would land after the barn closed.

No go. They would not release the cart to them. We ended up getting it first thing in the morning. Was a pain because my FIL is a big guy and needed the cart to get around and we had ADR that night up top for HDDR..
 

I have picked up carts before for friends arriving late. All it takes is a phone call to the Bike Barn from the guest arriving late authorizing it. The person picking it up has to take responsibility, so you have to show your driver's license, and use your credit card. Then, the next day the person who was late has to go down and get things squared away.

I called them just last week. My DH (who is not on he cart ressie at all) is going to go get the cart while I am checking in. The bike barn doesn't even have his name but, they told me, if he has the reservation number and name it is under he will be able to get it. I would call.
 
Well, I called and was told that it would be no problem. All they would need is my name and preferably my confirmation number. Also, of course, a way to pay and their ID. I had thought the ID would be used to confirm that I am who I am supposed to be, but instead it is apparently intended just for confirmation of who has the carts in case of damage.

Of course, you never know what will actually happen when we try it in May, but hopefully it will work.

I have a similar thing going on and called to verify we could do it.

Reservation is for Thursday and they'll arrive Wednesday at 5. Called and asked what if they don't make it in on Thurs? They said, no problem, they will hold the reservation until Friday morning but not much later. Also said they'd be charged as though they picked it up Thursday as that's when it was reserved for.

The main thing is to bring the reservation number you are given. Going in the past without this was a nightmare. (Required 3 trips to the Bike Barn before I got my cart.)
