Goldwing Riders

After a 2 year wait, DH and I are finally planning a trip!

This year we decided to go with a twist! We are taking the Goldwing!

We are leaving from Omaha, Nebraska with the Bike in a trailer (because you never know what the weather is going to be like in October in Nebraska), and driving to Birmingham, AL and dropping the truck and trailer with a friend.

Then we are driving to Disney and staying at BWV (first time staying there, any help with fun stuff there is greatly appreciated). Also going back to MNSSHP! And to the Food and Wine Festival!!

Then we are fulfilling a dream of DH and driving down A1A to Key West and spending a few days there. On the way back we will be staying at Vero Beach for a few days (again, first time there and any help on fun stuff would be wonderful).

Then to make our way back to Alabama, we are going to stop in Savannah, GA and spend the night, then back to Alabama and then Omaha!

We will also be riding down to Disney from Oct 14-21. We are going to split time between Disney and Biketoberfest. For this trip, we are going to be staying offsite, (at Wyndham Palms), using our last week of a timeshare that I just sold. It will be exciting to ride to the parks on 2 wheels.
All of our other trips will be on-site as we just bought into DVC this past month.

Biketoberfest is October 19-22 at Daytona Beach. We stay at Disney and hop back and forth.

I an jealous!! But enjoy and have the most wonderful trip. Biktober fest is a blast. I love meeting fellow riders from all over the states. Maybe one day I will ba able to take the bike to Disney!! First I need to find a new man that enjoys boths bikes and Disney!!!

That's funny Grim! That just means you need to get another one that goes fast AND is comfortable!

We went down last March for Bike Week in Daytona. Again, we stayed at Disney. Our son was working as a CM at the time. March Bike Week in Daytona is a little too crowded for me. I've heard Biketoberfest is just like Bike Week, but fewer people, so we'll have a few afternoons or evenings at Daytona, with the balance of the week at the Mouse.

We've riden to Myrtle Beach bike week, which was 700 miles in one day. I think we'll probably wimp out and trailer the bike to Florida.
