This is my 50th Golden Post so I am celebrating by sharing some things we saw at the Villas this past July and so things we are looking forward to this coming October. We traveled to the Beach Club Villas with a 3 month infanct so we were not on a tight schedule. It is very nice to simply enjoy sleeping in and watching Disney News for you can not anywhere else. I enjoyed to going to the front desk and getting a comp USA Today and watching families depart for the day. We would make nice dinner plans for the evening and then hit of the below during the day.
-Sand bottom pool
-Chocolate Malt at Beaches and Cream (none compares, made with Choc. ice cream, not vanilla!)
-Brisk morning walks around the boardwalk
-Hitting Epcot early of the day and coming back to the room for a rest and then going back for the evening
-Cape May, Cape May, Cape May
-In October, we hope to hit MGM but I am hearing that the Tower is down, is this true?
-The hot tub at the Villas is also a great way to start the AM
Any other thoughs out there for us to try in Oct. We are not so rushed to take everything in but rather want to enjoy our home away from home.
thanks!

It's great to hear things went well for you with a three month old. We have always taken our four children to WDW from a very young age and get a kick out of it when people tell us they are waiting to take their's when "they get older and can enjoy it". I have often wondered how old that is?

Somewhat true. It will be closed from October 13 through 19 for scheduled maintenance.

We own at BCV too and will be their for New Year's. Have fun in October.

I hear this all the time, too and it drives me crazy! Isn't taking them when they're young the best?!?
Nothing can top my 2 year old's face when she sees the characters! As it is my 5 year old is already at that age where she doesn't believe them, maybe the face charcters only. Thsi is a real bummer.
When I hear peopel are waiting until their kids are older I have to butt in and tell them they need to go NOW.
That look of amazment on a young child is priceless...
That toddler age.......WOW, what fun.

I agree completely. Our daughter was 3 1/2 the first time we went and to see her interact with the characters was truly priceless.

The picture in my signature is from last spring, 8 1/2 yrs old. She still gets a big kick out of everything. I don't think it'll ever change. I know it doesn't for us!
