Hi all, only me!!

So, exciting news. I'm back in DLP staying at the Disneyland hotel in November with my DBF for Christmas (could actually burst with excitement).

And more amazing news, me and my friend (who's also disney obsessed) have booked to goto DLP in March 2014. We have booked a lake view room at Sequoia Lodge in the Golden Forest Club. My friend has NEVER been to Disneyland Paris and I am so excited to show her around the magic - the only thing is, I know nothing about the Golden Forest Club.

Has anyone stayed there yet? Is it worth it (we can actually stay at Hotel New York for about £80 less than our too, at SL).

So yeah, I'm really after opinions of Golden Forest - what it is actually like in reality and is it worth the money?

Thanks all, as always :) xx

Hey :)

Good job on booking two trips, we're there in Golden Forest for christmas and hoping to book for next year.

People have mixed opinions on golden forest, but personally we loved it and said we are happy to pay the extra this Christmas for it.

Little things such as taking your bags on check-in, a separate lovely area for breakfast times (which is MUCH more relaxing) and free nibbles and drinks in the afternoon (which are served to you by CM's) make it all a nice extra. You also get per-day fast-passes to use once, which we found really brilliant to use at the end of each day when we wanted that one more turn on a ride that had a busy queue!

Oh it's soooo good to hear a nice review about it. So how does it all work?

I'm really confused as to where everything is. Where is the lounge? Did you still have breakfast slots? How was the character interaction at breakfast (and who showed up)?

Sorry for all the questions - I want to make this a really memorable trip for my friend (she's visiting from Canada so this will be pretty huge for her) :)

Sorry for the late reply!

So, turn up as usual.. I don't know if you know where the old safe-room is in the Sequoia Lodge? On the left of reception there was a door, basically.. it's just next to that, So if you go in to the main entrance it's directly on your left.

You get a nice chair to sit in and complimentary chocolate coins whilst you are checked in, someone then comes along and if your room is not ready yet, they take your bags and ask you to come back later. You then get a room number and when you get to your room, your bags are there and ready to unpack :)

You'll get a nice little pack with Golden-Forest written on it, this contains the usual bits and your daily fast-pass tickets.

The breakfast room is located just past the bar/pool table and shop, I think this used to be use as a business meeting area, but it's now been transformed into two fantastic looking rooms for breakfast with little bars and "trees" that hold nicely lit lighting on the roof.

The character interaction definitely feels a bit more personal, you can expect the usual (We saw eeyore, tigger, mickey/minnie, rabbit, goofey, pluto) from what I can remember!

Great to hear that your friend is coming such a long way for the magic, rock on DLP!

Oh, and if you have any more questions or I can remember anything else, feel free to shoot! - I actually have some pictures of the breakfast area if you'd like to see those.. got a couple of shots. :)

Oh, the breakfast slots! You can go any time which really is a MASSIVE plus for us, it's so nice not being stuck to times.. I noted on some reviews that people weren't happy as they were sat outside the breakfast rooms in the corridors, I think this is only at peak times.. and I'm sure if you said to the CM seating you that you'd rather wait for an inside table they'd happily oblige.

Hope this helps, and have an amazing trip! We're 12 weeks now from our Christmas at the magic again.
