Golden Coral?

We at at a GC on the trip down last year and I remember seeing one in the vicinity of WDW, but can't remember where!

Thinking in terms of saving some money, I'm considering the possiblility of trying to get there by public bus a couple of times during the trip. Does anyone know where the closest one is? How is the menu? Prices?

It would sure give us a change from park food and be less costly to feed my picky kids, any help appreciated!

The closest one to WDW is on Apopka-Vineland on the way to Premium outlets its about 2 miles from Downtown I dont think buses go to that area but I could be wrong They have te same stuff as all the other GCS with similar prices lunch 5.99 dinner 9.99 etc

I believe there's a new one very close to WDW, but I'm not sure about directions. The food is not great, but it's ok. It's like a Sizzler or Ponderosa. The last time we went, I believe it was $8-9/adult for dinner, but there are usually coupons for 10% off when you buy a beverage in a lot of the free travel guides. From what I remember, they had steak, chicken, pot roast, fries, soups, salads, tacos, deserts as staples on their buffet. Their other stuff varied based on what day of the week it is, so on Fridays, they have fried shrimp, one day they have ham, etc. I would recommend it in place of fast food. But, if you must have fast food, Checkers was pretty good. Golden Coral can get crowded, so if you can go during an off time, you're better off.

Let's see how helpful I can be, seeing as how I'm terrible with directions & don't know names of roads...

There is a Golden Corral on that busy road outside of WDW (192, I think?)...it's in a strip center across from a Best Inn & a huge T-shirt/souvenir shop.
